Airboat for sale. Santa Fe/ Dallas

I am selling an airboat that has been used for most of its 50 hours as a wind machine. If you are in the market, please take a look in the classified. Very nice boat and I’m sad to sell but no water in Santa Fe area and my health sucks. 20548879-CFD6-4136-945C-6D61755CBBFD.jpeg B689ADB5-EB3C-43AA-93...

Re: Airboat Used To Clear Smoke

We use them to clear smoke on movie sets or to spread smoke and dust for simulated haze or dust storms. When on a movie in Houston we supplied two machines to the Houston FD to work with theirs on a big warehouse fire. On the film Dr. T and the Women we were in the Dallas Arboretum and there was no ...

Re: Mini Airboat setup for a wind machine

We have over 25 years experience with wind machines both custom built and using airboats, that is not the problem. I am trying to figure out how to have high wind speed, high altitude, and weigh less than 100 pounds (JOKE)... OK I get the pick two thing, but I wanted some advice from guys running Mi...

Mini Airboat setup for a wind machine

I am looking for advise on using a Mini Airboat engine and prop/cage set up as a wind machine. Some issues are: I am located at 7,000 feet altitude and the first job for the unit(s) will possibly be at 10,000 feet so I need a little more power as I will lose 25-35 percent of the power because of thi...

I have the big Troll-N-Tabs and love them. I run four Optima deep cycles and go wherever I want. They are expensive and worth it. Get the Joy Stick control if you can swing it.

Re: Who is the best to coat headers?

Swaintech and the thick ceramic coating has lasted over 12 years outside on my big block windmachines. It is not a thin paint coating but a thick white grainy coating and cuts most all of the heat radiation from the headers. Great stuff and great service.

Re: 2011 GMC 403HP 6.2 Waterthunder cam availability

At the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show those silly LS clone builders Mast Motorsports said they had just purchased Performance Induction Specialties that build cylinder heads and intakes in Michigan. Looks like they might be a little bigger than a clone company. Nice booth,...

Re: 2011 GMC 403HP 6.2 Waterthunder cam availability

This reminds me of the horse-s**t I got when I asked Waterthunder to show us some more pictures (of the outside) of the supercharged engine he had already posted a build picture of... I didn't ask for specs and even Waterthunder failed by turning the thread into a fake discussion on racing. Made MAS...

Re: Radiator distorting air flow to prop solution?

Be thinking of electrolysis if you use stainless tubing and an aluminum block. It could eat it self alive from the inside out. I dont think that would be a problem, look at how many iron block engines are in cars and what are their radiators made out of? I said ALUMINUM blocks and STAINLESS steel r...

Re: Arizona Speed Fuel Injection

I have a RamJet ZZ383 and a RamJet 454 both running the MEFI-4 with programs from ASM. I have not had a problem with either even though I am at 7,000 feet altitude. What problems are you having and have you discussed it with them?

It is a M60 Army Tank searchlight, either visible light or infrared. Because of causing permanent blindness the Army says you are not allowed to turn the light on when friendly forces are within one mile! 100 million candle power on regular, 150 million candle power on overdrive. Draws 140 amps of 2...

Re: Hid spotlights Anyone bought any lately

[quote="moodfood"]Must be some kind of Texas law saying an airboat must have about a jillion HID/fancy lights on it. LOL
Either that or the number and brightness of the lights is some sort of measure of the Texas man. ;) :?

Just use one HID xenon light in New Mexico...

I would normally recommend Garmin, but I am suspect of their touch screens after I purchased a top of the line Nuvi 855 and the touch screen has never worked longer than one week between visits to Garmin. Makes me think when I buy one for the airboat it will be one with buttons...

I have them in 24V and they do a great job. Get the Joyride version with the joystick control. They come in 24 and 36 volt, 2hp and 3hp respectively. Google Lenco TNT Joyride for the best pricing.
