Re: Lycoming piston part numbers
Found this info online, hope it helps HOW TO IDENTIFY JE/SRP PISTONS All JE and SRP Pistons will have "JE" or "SRP" forged or laser engraved on the underside of the piston. If your piston does not have these marks, it was not manufactured by JE or SRP Pistons. Please use the info...

I run dual red optima's with a perco switch and alternate them charging with no problems starting. There not the lightest batteries but dependable and last. I even switched my trucks to them and swear by them.Hog Guts wrote:One optima or two either way your good

Re: Lenco trim tab fix
I have been wondering if they would stand up against the impact of hitting things. Do they have a problem with breaking at the plastic hinge/mount points from impact? I need something at the transom to provide braking and to assist steering on ice. The cold temps might be hard on the plastic and so...

Re: Change from aircraft to automotive plugs
I use the aircraft plugs in my new 540 which have 175 Hours on them now and have had way less problems with them. Of course I check and clean them every 50 hours and do 25 hour oil changes. I did run the champion D-16's in it for a short time and really didn't notice any performance difference when ...

Re: How about these plugs?
Thanks glades cat. I will look into that. Some had more oil than others, and they always have, but they all had yellow lead deposits on the insulator. That was more lead than I'm used to seeing on them. I may run TCP in the winter when it's almost impossible to get my oil over 160. I ran av gas in ...

Re: Gun Safe
Do yourself a favor and buy one that's bigger than you think you'll ever need! Also look at the fire rating. That's a key factor...those $600 safes are not near the quality as the one's costing more. Spend as much as you can afford and get the biggest you can. I agree get the biggest you can afford...

I am sure someone will correct me if i,m wrong. The E Gap is the moment when the points begin to open. You need a timing box to achieve that result. With mag removed and mag lock in place of the red gear you need to hook up your timing box. You can move the gear ever so slightly the gap point is wh...

Re: Airboat Insurance for a hybrid cage
You could try the Seaworthy GEICO Program (P) 877-581-2628. I got a quote from them awhile back but stuck with markel. they were more expensive and picky also. I think I remember the engine can only be so much horsepower and the speed was an issue also or something like that.
