MA 4-5 Venturi

I need to replace a venturi in my carb that has a broken clip, does anybody have an old style venturi from the 2 piece model ? I have a one piece but need info on how to get the old one out, would rather just get the old one that clips in to save a lot of cussing and throwing of tools ! :P

Re: Sled hulls

Love my sled ! Just gotta be a little more careful than most other boats with stopping. Not all sleds suffer from that. A deck over built for it can be very comfortable in any water depth. The really light sleds with super short transom indeed need to be careful with. I have an 8 1/2” transom 3/4 d...

Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats

I have an O-360 180 on an 11' sled , I love the damn thing ! 2 people and a cooler no problem at all, struggled a bit with 3 people and a cooler but got the job done. It's perfect for my needs until the day I decide to move up to O-540!

MA 4-5 air cleaner bolt size

I went to Schmidt Airboat today and had a great experience, I bought an air cleaner to go on my Marvel Schebler MA 4-5 and I wasn’t aware that the carb was threaded where the air cleaner bolts up, does anybody have a size of screw that would be appropriate for bolting up to the carb ?

Its definitely venting, it leaks even when just sitting in the yard. I'm thinking its the O-ring to the block

Re: O-360 Motor Mounts

As far as the front goes, is there a definite answer that they are the conical mounts?

Re: O-360 Motor Mounts

I ordered 2 blues and 2 whites from http://www.airboatpartsonline.com just hoping they were right, the rears may just be a chunk of rubber :dontknow:

Re: Leaking oil from jug

It’s where it bolts to the block, I’ve only taken it out one time and when I got home noticed drops on the half deck. I just bought the boat.

Leaking oil from jug

Bought my first boat a month ago, been out to camp one time and when I got back I noticed some oil residue on the rudders. Parked it in the yard and cleaned the entire engine, 2 days later I have oil coming from a jug running down the case and falling on the half deck, I got the correct wrenches and...

Re: Airboat that was sunk then left for 3 years

Prop is fine, cage could probably use new wire. Before it was sunk it had brand new alternator, and a few other small things that were put on before the sale.

Re: Airboat that was sunk then left for 3 years

This was after he sold it  , but from my understanding it wasn’t run for maybe more than 1 hour after the incident. I’ve been looking around and I’m sure I’ll come across “the one”. I appreciate the info !

Re: Airboat that was sunk then left for 3 years

I should clarify that it was pulled out shortly after sinking. It tilted over onto its side and the motor was submerged from my understanding, now sitting at the airboat association. :rebel:
