If you decide to go new it would be wise to research the potential builder either with GOOGLE, here or even the FB version. A sort of background check if you will. There have been quite a few that have been taken advantage of and taken huge losses.

It depends on the starter mount. Is it an DICK Waters air tech or a Norman Clay mount. Then you need to know is it 11 or nine tooth . That is a cool looking boat. With amount of oil blow by probably a safe bet you have a bad cylinder. This tool will tell you what you need to know.
