Re: Mudderboots.com?

Yes that is a good question. They look like they would be pretty hard to get through really dense catails. The video showed the guy walking up the steep rocks without an issue but sliding them through dense brush, that's another thing! Let me know, appreicate it.

Re: Mudderboots.com?

Not too surprised that it is kind of a one man show. Kind of looked like it on the site. Everything is pretty frozen up here this time of year so I don't have an opportunity to use them until I get down to Florida in April. You could do me a favor and PM me and let me know how they work? Would apprc...

This seems to be the direct link:

http://www.mudderboot.com/index.html

The video looks great. Little expensive but if you have ever been stuck in that crap, well worth it. The web site sell seconds as well that are less.

DB and Hammant have already been mentioned. I have one of each of their boats with stainless. I could vouch for either.

Re: pole barn contractor reccomendations

I bought a 5 acre piece up here in Michigan with a 40x60 barn, poured floors. It had two side by side 10x10 foot doors which I knew wouldn't fit my boat up here (needed another 3 inchs) but I was ok with it because the price was right. So my first recomendation is bigger is better. Build it as big a...

Re: Michigan Airboater Intros

That is one sweet boat. Very very nice! MACA information. In regards to dues, you can contact Tim Winiecki 989-225-0127 car phone. He can get you the amount and address. I think it is 20-30 bucks for the year.

Re: Question on RPM's for lycoming 0 320 narrow deck?

If you have to run it that high to get it up and on plane you are seriously underpowered. Considering the engine is rated max at 2600 rpm, I concur, the engine is not going to last as long as it should or as long as you like. JT, I was in Mount Dora at Xmas..........never been there before.............

Re: Question on RPM's for lycoming 0 320 narrow deck?

Although I have a 320 on my Hammet, I am hardly an expert. I thought it is an interesting question though, so I looked into the internet a bit and came up with this: http://www.vansairforce.com/community/archive/index.php?t-14473.html And in addition this from Lycoming which is a service bulletin wh...

Re: Michigan Airboater Intros

Yes I have seen that group of boats out anchored out in front of the houses. I was up there for the summer meeting at Dicks. Been pretty busy down here the last couple of years but hopefully I am going to try some bow fishing myself this year. Got the equipment, just got to find the time. I will hav...

Re: Best 70" prop for push???

The best thing you could do is pick up the phone, dial Sensenich or Whirlwind’s via their 800 numbers and talk to someone who can really steer you in the right direction. We all have our opinions, there’s might be based more on scientific fact considering you just might be talking to an Aeronautical...

Re: Michigan Airboater Intros

Hey Tim,

Welcome to SA and MACA. I probably owe my dues to MACA come to think of it.

I am familar with Valley Island, just north of Rose Island, right? I do some duck hunting up that way. Very nice!

Re: conflicted on props?

Have the same motor on my boat in Florida with a Whirlwind WT. Take Bruce's advice, get on the phone with Patti. Ask her about the Special coating that's available (I have it, it's great as is the prop) as well. She will take care of you. I have a 68" blade, may not be listed on the site but they ma...
