Re: Dan the airboat man
He built a whole boat for me and I was very happy with the results. I did feel like the man had a lot of great knowledge he was willing to share. When my boat was finished is about the time it seemed like things went south. I was thinking I heard he got involved in the oil industry after the fall ou...

It ran dry really well! It used to be me my wife and infant son then. As long as you didn't put too much weight it was great!

I loved my hamant hull with my old 520 boat. It was 13'6" by 7'6" wide.

Re: Temporary Withlacoochee River restrictions.
I wonder how high the water is by the outfall canal? Gator bait there is a boat ramp off a side road off SR 200. If you put in there you would drive by stump knockers on your boat . They have signs right by the bridge at SR200 for the ramp. Not sure how high the water is right there to be able to ge...

Re: Neils Scorpion WaterThunder DD
Dave how do you think this motor would perform on one of Wade's open hulls? How would it do set up as a true ride boat seating arrangement, like a single front steer double rear? Say like a 13' x7'6"?

I think it would be really interesting to see how many people are being screwed by these a-holes. I would be willing to bet it is a lot more than just Fabian and Kevin!! So if they are screwing you over let's hear about it. I think these guys should be shut down!!

Re: One Hell of a Ride
Everyone talks real tough about what they would do on the Internet!!! I can assure you if you go cut locks and take stuff from someone else's property you will go to jail! I can also assure you the police will do nothing for you even with a receipt!! It is is a civil matter that will need to go to c...

NWTF nationals!!!
I just got back from Nashville. I attended the national wild turkey federation national event. If you are interested in turkey hunting it is a really cool event to attend. I think there was over 400 booths full of hunting stuff and not just turkey stuff. We met some great people, everyone was really...

Tony, I looked at this boat a while back. It had stock lycoming injection. It also had what looked like a aircraft starter on it.

Re: dilemma.. interested in your thoughts
Do you need something that can carry more people than your current boat? I was in a similar situation a while back. I sold my ultralight hamant 13'6" boat with a 520 that was single front driver double rear. I thought I was gonna be bringing more friends for rides and stuff. So I had a 14'6" alumite...

Re: Ceramic header question for you car motor guys and build
Norman Clay has nice airboat headers. Why don't you just get yours ceramic coated? If not Norman has his headers with or without ceramic coating. I had his long tube for an LS motor. Nice stuff, nice flange on them.

How are these motors without the gearbox? Obviously they don't spin as big a prop. Are the worth having without the box? I saw a nice boat without the box for sale.

The closest place I can think of is marine services in homosassa. Just north of the walmart, by cardinal rd. But there is a lot of choices fairly close. You have little john in Webster. You also have Corey Knapp in Webster. You have Ned in Inverness. That is a few I can think of off the top of my he...

Re: Run out motors or low time motors?
I can assure you Tony ain't getting no ecotec motor. I know what he's doing and when. You ain't getting it from me though. Comanche-pup it's not that important to get something that hasn't been on a boat. I was just inquiring if someone had a run out or low hour motor for sale. Just trying to get so...

Re: Run out motors or low time motors?
I checked out barnstormers nothing there. I have a few A&P mechanics that perform annuals checking for me. I don't think Tom sells run outs. I think he overhauls them and sells them I believe. The same with Wally Moore.
