Re: Got the mini back up and going

Not sure on weight but 2 peeps can push it across ground. American Airboats built the hull back in 2010 i believe. Motor with 2 to 1 redrive is 130 lbs. Has 3/8" poly bolted on as well.

Get you a mini. It would work great on the Colorado river. I have one that hauls 3 guys and gear pretty good with a little ol V-twin on it.

You are talking about the north end of trinity bay not the refuge. The refuge is on the north side of east bay.

Re: Bonding Polymer

I installed poly on a dozen mud boats years ago. We used the huntsman product innthe begining but found that from different expansion rates on uhmw and aluminum that it could come loose in spots. Last 4 boats I did we used 3m 5200 fast cure to adhere it. That shit ain't coming off without a fight. I...

Those rpms of 4900 correct? At best I get 4000 with a 42 hsr with a custom cam and 32 degrees advanced timing. I am swinging a 65" whirlwind with 9* of pitch.

Got some that have not been checked out that are for sale for $200. I intend to get some running as well but they will not be stock. Piston, cam and intake carb swap plus some stainless headers put on. Looking to make 75 ponies out of them. Will keep your posted.

The bow of the boat is actually what hit the man in the back. This is a good friend and coworkers dad that was the victim.

Spoke to some boys in Alaska yesterday and they informed me that their 12X7 with 1/4" poly and stainless rigging with 2 people in the boat got up on step easy and held 30 mph wot. It was cruising at 25mph 3400 rpms. They are running a modified Generac from Extreme V-Twins. :D

I am sure if I was speaking to them about buying one of there new boats or a used one that did not require any work ...

So you must have to spend 50K to get phone calls back from the shop when it envolves the little guys. Quickest way to lose sales is to not get them at all. Sorry but I had to vent a little!
