Re: 12x6 1/4 in poly

Use ratchet straps, I just rolled a 160"x 80" into a nice bundle for transport. Make sure your straps are good.

Re: Rudder height?

Mixedbag it's hard to give you a correct answer with out knowing diameter of prop, height of motor stand, height from top of stringer to top of transom and size (lengt) of rudders. My new hull has 7 inch stringers opposed to 3.5 inch in the old boat, everything has shifted upwards 3.5 inches. I do ...

Re: Hull Hop

There is nothing wrong with having a trim tab, it's like having 4 wheel drive , there when you need it. Trim tabs were designed to increase the performance of a variety of watercraft. If I add 10lbs more of ice to my cooler, or the wind blows from a different direction, my boat, which rides flat, wi...

Slick bottom recipe?

30 years ago we used a gallon of resin, a little hardner , and a couple of tubes of black silicone. Anyone have a concoction to keep from spending 100+ for a gallon of similar material?

Thanks

filling holes

Hello,
Gonna redo my poly, need to fill existing holes to make it easier. Anybody ever used 5200 to fill the holes, or is it better to mix up some resin? Put it on some saw horses do it from the bottom.

Thanks for any info,
JDJ

Hello, I went riding this weekend, after about 30 minutes I shut down for a beverage, and due to all the bugs I immediately tried to start my boat to move. The starter would engage but it would not turn the prop. I let it sit for about 15 minutes and it started fine, This happened throughout the day...

Gator hunt Lake Orange

I was awarded permits for this lake. The last time I was there was to duck hunt about 7 years ago, and we used a mud devil. Does any one know if a regular outboard can make it, I heard that due to the drought there are large floating tussocks making navigation tough.

Thanks

Regretfully, I'm leaving the airboat at home and embarking on a pontoon camping trip around Lake George. I plan to stay on the boat and

navigate around the varoius springs and rivers. Does anyone have any pointers? Thanks

So your ok with a can in the river? hell of a lot better than a glass bottle that will end you or a child up in a hospital getting stitches.... I did that once. Many years ago I raced outboard hydros ..... stepped into the Ohio River one evening to retrieve my little boat barefoot and ended up gett...
