Re: Who to go to about financing airboats

My credit union financed my last airbboat under their boat loans. I did have to get a statement from a builder/manufacturer stating the value of the boat.

Plum did convince me to go A/C after seeing his Speedwheelie 4 cylinder carry us all over the marsh when it was dry!

Re: Lets hear about WHO you learned Airboating from.

Plumcrazy got me hooked and has spent many hours helping me build engines, repair engines, rig and rerig, and pulling me back numerous times when broke down. These were all in my previous life from the dark side of course..... :D :D :D

Camp Mack?

Anything on fire at Camp Mack? A friend from Orlando texted saying something was on the news about a fire at Camp Mack. He didn't know what was burning or where but said it was at Camp Mack.

Re: PLANE AT ISTOKPOGA

This is a pic of the crashed plane in Istokpoga when it was still in the fleet of Tag Airlines. The plane crashed May 1, *2001 and, according to NTSB report, the pilot fled the scene and was never interviewed. *1981 http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/8/9/4/0742498.jpg

Re: Camping/riding on the Peace River(QUESTIONS?????)

South of Hwy 70 is great for airboating. I rode from Zolfo Springs down to Limestone once and it was switchback after switchback! Went north of Hwy 70 once just past Canoe Outpost until I found the rocks and decided that was not an airboat friendly stretch.

Re: Camping/riding on the Peace River(QUESTIONS?????)

I've run into some pretty rough limestone rock north of Hwy 70 when the water is down. Not sure how it is now but I would think is it fairly low.

SPEEDWHEELIE AKA JEFFORD'S AIRBOATS!!!!

I've posted in the past how pleased I have been with my 520 Speedwheelie conversion and often refer Tom Jefford's when someone needs work done on their A/C/GPU engine. I've been running my 520 conversion for exactly one year and I recently started having problems with my engine dropping a cylinder a...

I like it but I'm no engineer. If I like the new design does that make me subject to lawsuit if it fails? If everyone was afraid to improve the status quo we'd all be running wood props and dodging leading edges!! :salute: :salute:

I've used Jet A in my kerosene heater with no problems at all. It sure was cheaper than the $10/gallon containers sold in hardware stores. Information I have found... "Jet A fuel is extremely close to kerosene and burns well in kerosene heaters, and therefore is the fuel of choice for those who...
