Re: Monroe Station Gladesmen Memories

I was born and raised in Dade County and we use to drive out to Loop Road and coon hunt perhaps a mile or two down Loop Road South of Monroe Station several times a week. Loved the place and went to about all the Wild Hog BBQ's there also. Just a great place in at a Great Time in my live. We would a...

Re: Info on Georgia boy fish camp

I like GA boys but the ramp there is too steep and you have to be careful. I put my airboat in under dunno creek bridge. Down at Lake George the bass are on Grassy Point right now but a long ride like has been mentioned and lake george can get 4 foot seas. lol

Re: Refinish AB-300 Stump Puller Blades

Outlaw thanks and for the small amount I use it I would have to agree with you. I just noticed the sun fading it out and was wondering about getting it coated. Probably should of asked how much does UV rays damage or weaken a prop. If not at all I am good to go for a few more years. lol

Should this boat run dry.

Aluminum 14" hull deep sides. 330 hp/350 GMC 2.09 Stinger Gear Box AB-300 Stump Puller Prop SS rigging (noted for weight purposes) Specs shows weighs 575 lbs but not sure if that is total weight of just hull or hull and rigging. Here is my situation. I like the boat, it is safe in deep water and tha...

Refinish AB-300 Stump Puller Blades

I have a boat that has mostly set in the yard, less than 100 hours. Sometimes covered, sometimes in the sun. The boat and everything is like brand new but the composite material on the blades is starting to show as they are not black and shiney any longer. I was told that WW in California would refi...

Re: Floral city boat opinions

First let me say that compared to the experts on here I am probably at a level of 1 out of 10. So take my opinion lightly. I purchased my first airboat about a year ago and it is a 14x8 Floral City built boat. Because of my location (deep water) North East Fl. and lack of experience (none) I purchas...

Fiberglass Mast for Flag

I think most of the newer fiberglass mast for a flag are 5/16" but not totally sure. I have a mount on the cage that is about 6 years old that has a spring tension push button on the side and I am not sure the mast size. Does anyone know the nearest place to Palatka/St Augustine that I could find a ...

Re: Smith & Wesson ?

The Bodyguard works for me. I think your first decision is do you want a safety on your handgun or not. My Son does not and I do. The second thing is to practice, practice, practice and understand just how and when you may draw your gun. I have real big hands but the holster I chose helps out with t...

Re: Any drawbacks to having a corp own the boat?

If your business is making money and can afford writing off the boat and expenses it makes good sense. There is one exception. If I hook a trailer up to my truck and it comes loose then the liability is covered under my auto ins. If that boat and trailer is commercial then I think it removes it from...

Re: What is a good brand of headset?

I got a set of four from Rick (benbad) and love them. I like the fact that they allow me to hear my motor and don't completely block it's noise out. If something goes wrong back there I want to hear it before I feel it. It is not loud but I hear it. I have let some buddies use them and they really l...

Re: LED's, opinions and info ?

The KC lights are nothing compared to LED Lights. I have two KC lights on my cage. I use my own brand of caplight when Gator Hunting and out in the boat. My LED caplight which is also my coonhunting light makes you wonder if the KC lights are on. LED all the way!!

Want to Thank the folks at Floral City Air Boats.

I had some minor damage to the hull of my aluminum boat. Was dead center the boat and it required the boat rigging being taken off, boat flipped, polymer removed and some welding. Dropped it off Monday afternoon and got a call yesterday that it was done. They also repaired two other minor dings to r...

Re: wrapped in chrome ?

I saw West Coast Customs do a car like that on TV that looked sharp. I know in my Aluminum Airboat we use our Coon hunting lights chasing gators and if the guy in front shines his down on the solid grass rake I can't see from the drivers seat.

I would like to throw something out there that left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to ICOM Radios. We have several tags and two are for Rodman. We want to get done with that area this week so we took a small sized one last night. I went to Rodman and had a lot of fun and saw plenty of small ones. We eased up on a fair size one but when we got close he left town but the 12 inch one in the picture stayed behind. lol You have to look close to see him he is so small. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/coondog123/null_zpscf676...

Hydraulic Lock 350/330 hp

Last night as I was putting the boat in the water at the ramp I experienced something I hope I don't have happen again. It appeared to be a hydraulic lock due to fuel or coolant in a cylinder.
