Re: Has anyone seen this bird?

I did a little research and noticed a peculiar statistic..... Seems their disappearance closely follows the perfection of "converted" or white rice as we now know it  They haven't been heard from since Uncle Ben's production hit 200 tons a day, sometime in 1944. Could be they just e...

Re: Between ethanol and run on (a rock & a hard place)

Yes. It will not run on if it doesn't get air. The higher octane gas was just enough to mask the smaller problem. Find where it's getting air and you can remedy the problem. Hell you can stop a run away diesel by blocking the air. Think of it this way, rev up an engine with a single barrel carb and ...

Re: Between ethanol and run on (a rock & a hard place)

If it is still running on with an properly installed idle control solenoid, it's getting air somewhere else...find the air source, solve the problem!

Re: attn ole timers

Some good observations there LIL Maddog, hamant180 and PeaRiverOpossum. Y'all got the right idea, it's all about respect! It isn't so much age related, or just a newbee thing. I think something was missing in some of these peoples up-bringings at the very least. A few decades ago it was kept to a mi...

PeaRiverOpossum, It may have been me that made that "reinvent the wheel" statement. It wasn't meant to be a derogatory statement, sorry you took it that way. I was just venting about the repetitive nature of many of the posts lately. To be honest with you a lot of us old timers just clam u...

Re: does a warp drive flex

the prop was 72 " ive already cut it down to 70" i would have to cut it to around 66". wouldnt it be a waste of a prop or would the performance still be as good. I wouldn't cut it shorter than 68", but that is just my opinion. They can flex a lot...I would allow at least 3"...

Re: Support Hunting SFWMD lands

So how many of you guys got caught hunting out of bonds this hunting season, what are the the charges you are facing, and if you have gone to court how much did it cost you. and after the cost of lawyers, fines, and permits do you feel it would have cost a poacher just as much to not even have a ta...
