Fiberglass Repair or buy new hull ?

I have a 13 foot viking hull that I want to have the stringers repaired....However, I may also be looking to get a new hull based on price differential....Looking for recommendations of repair or good builder. Running 93 octane....Engine is set up with 7.5/1 compression, and supposedly made to use the pump gas.....I am definitely going to try the avgas next fill up and see if there is any difference.

Another Magneto question / diagnosis?

My motor has two magnetos......If I turn them both on the engine runs fine....when I do a power down test, one works and the other one coughs the engine out..... I started the engine on one mag, runs a little weaker that if both are on, responds positively to accelerator. I started the engine on the...

Re: First Boat

just bought a 435 with 480 jugs.....has flat top pistons that make 7.5 to1 compression......runs good on 93 octane. Re the oil cooler, not sure if youre saying the oil cooler is oversized now, or if your going to put one on. those engines have to get up to 190 -200 to dissipate condensate water. oth...

Re: Cylinder Temp Gauges, where, how, which one?

You only need one gauge, to read one cylinder! All you really need to know is the temp of your hottest cylinder. On a 6 cyl it will be the left bank, center jug. Top plug if you have twin Mags.. You can buy the single gauge with the twin scale gauge and read from your right and left bank if you wan...

Cylinder Temp Gauges, where, how, which one?

I have been doing some searching in the old threads and if interpreted the numerous posts correctly, I understand that each side of the engine gets a meter. In a 6 cylinder, there would be 3 sensors that go to each cylinder on each side, and they feed back to one gauge....Therefore two gauges requir...

Currently have a stock 220 with a6 blade Warp drive on my 13.6 combee. Has a bit of lag at first throttle down... I been told to reduce pitch or change prop....If I change the prop to a 2 blade composite, I assume I have to also change the mount? What about if I go down to a 5 blade Warp, will I hav...
