Re: Beginners boat

If its a Lycoming engine that's as good as they get when it comes to Aircraft engines and polymer is much better than quick slick
if you get a fiberglass boat stay away from areas that have rocks and stumps they don't handle them as well as an Aluminum hull does

Re: Beginners boat

A small Aircraft powered boat would be good and if your going to want to run dry get as much power as you can afford and most importantly either get trained or get a very experienced operator to show you the ropes, Airboats are a lot different than a regular power boat and you can get hurt or some o...

Re: Why am I losing control in Shallow Water?

This is the kind of thing that makes me cringe people getting Airboats and trying to learn on their own with no formal training or and experienced operator to show them the ropes, there are so many things that are totally different than a regular boat on an Airboat but at least your playing it smart...

Re: Will torn poly keep a boat from running dry?

if your running a boat with torn poly you need to stop that is a very dangerous thing to do and you can a will get hurt doing that
if I were you, get it replaced or fixed right away

Built Light weight Hunting Rifle

Just finished this new light hunting rifle that I will also use for a patrol rifle as well used a Tikka barreled action and had my gun smith cut the barrel down to 18 in and then had him build me one of his custom muzzle breaks so recoil is like a 556 then I put a MDT LSS Chassis on it and Duracoate...

Don't waist your money on a hover craft they are pretty much worthless compared to an Airboat, you can go a lot more places and have a lot more fun with and Airboat

Re: Honda CBR 600cc 10x6 Aluminum Airboat Build

What you have done may be a game changer for small Airboats, the motorcycle motors out now a day produce a lot of hp with out a lot a weight the GSXR Suzuki motors and the Hyabosa motors plus Yamaha and Kawasaki all have high HP motors that are very reliable and bought cheap from a wrecked bike and ...

You did a hell of a job on this build I'm very impressed, what was the final sprocket size you used and what gear did you use on the motor 2nd ? also what is your cruse RPM on the motor ? awesome job the boat seems to preform very well

Re: 14 lives saved with Airboat in two days

well there are a lot of people out there that do not like Airboats or Airboaters so I tray to help everyone out that wants to learn to drive one, they are a useful tool to search and rescue but even with the SAR community we have to prove our selves and educate them on what a useful tool Airboats are

14 lives saved with Airboat in two days

This is the story on the guys at the Van Meter Fire Dept that I trained last summer , I could not be more proud of them, they did exactly what I trained them to do and ended up saving 14 lives in two days and a big thanks to Diamondback Airboats for all the help and support they gave us in getting t...

Re: The Game Changer

I think whats nice about this set up is you have an affordable set up and its a new motor not a 50 year old non Airworthy rebuilt motor also you can go to any auto parts house and get parts for it even on the week ends at a reasonable price, Aircraft parts you can't just go buy anywhere and there is...

Re: Alaskan hunting Mini

A rotax ultra light motor would be perfect for that little boat they even come with a gear box they produce a lot of HP for the weight of the motor
