Ordered a new bulb..went with the q4509..100hr life span instead of the 25hr & heavier filament & gonna wire direct to the battery & see if that solves the issue

All new motor & alternator..gauge shows bout 13.5 volts running.. using probably 14gauge wire from ext.cord

Any recommendations for a light that's equivalent.. seen a couple that friends have & haven't really been impressed as far as brightness but definitely lighter by weight

Gotcha... been using this bulb for years and so did my dad 70's - 80's before he passed I don't remember him having to replace nearly as much

For those still running the 100w aircraft landing 4509 bulb what kind of plug are y'all using on the cord? I've always run this bulb because I like the distance I get but every plug I've used from cigarette plugs which seem to get too hot to a regular house receptacle etc and keep having issues with...

My bad for some reason thought you were looking for a 4cyl seal..$36 on aircraft spruce guess that's 1 continental part that's more than Lycoming lol

Not sure what kinda price he give ya but aircraft spruce & others are #18-20bks then ya got shipping & a lot of times on aircraft parts the shipping is almost as much if not more than the actual part

I've got a Holley 450cfm mechanical secondaries that was run on a sbc 350dd that Jr in Cocoa built for my buddies boat and it did great and was good on fuel..he ran a 72" Woody for a while and then a 72" water walker if you're interested..been on the shelf in a box since he retired that mo...

Lol.. just love it when someone comes along harping on AC motors..yes their dinosaurs but still kicking.. don't think for a minute a big car motor gear box boat won't get stuck or struggle on the green magic carpet cause I've seen happen a many of times & a aircraft boat just as big slide right ...

An 0320 crank bolt is 7/16 isn't it & 0360 is 1/2"

I also thought ww signature blade was 11.5 or 12" not 10.5 ..I run a Cypress blade & its 10" wide..my buddy runs a signature & I know it's wider than mine.. maybe it's 11"

Been seeing this for 2yrs in a row ...lived on this river damn near all my life & never have I seen softshells die off like this.. plenty of fish yeah but not turtles.. been wanting to catch a couple to eat but haven't because of this

The builder that actually installed it on the motor when built had it at 2200..1900..27.5..7.5, just wondering what's best all around performance and not too much timing.. thanks for your input

Ok..I only run avgas..I haven't checked cylinder temp last couple trips but had B4 that few times with ir gun & didn't see any over 300ish
