depends on how much play there is in the mounts, but i would run a come-a-long from a point on the rear of the engine, to the cage or other overhead support to keep it from falling down when the gearbox is separated.

Well, I'm ready to sink this thing. New water pump, new radiator new thermostat (even tried running w/out it) re-bled the coolant system and still overheating. Did notice a small leak/bubble on the intake so def gonna pull that off and put new gasket. Was running today fir bout 15 minutes or so and...

ahh that makes sense... i park my boat under a big ass tree.. i was thinking of stringing a tarp from the tree, over the boat and staking it out on teh sides so that the air moves under it.. we'll see how that works out i gotta figure out something to keep the F-in pine cones out ahahah

Just replaced head gaskets a few days back, used felpro gaskets. Motor hasn't gotten over 230 w the new ones as I have shut it down both times when it gets that hot. Gonna try draining and refilling to re-burp the system. Then will mess w the timing. It's pretty advanced now if remember correctly. ...

raising the engine height will hurt you it will radically change the angle it is pushing on the hull. I got serious performance gains in my boat by lowering the engine in the boat. talk to cuntry or dan they can explain it to you how much of your prop is covered by the transom now that you have low...

someone should take that test piece that was sprayed and stick it in a tub of ocean water for a week and see if it hangs on
