Re: Predator hull w/ SBC gearbox
We've built 2. 13.3 fast and furious and the 14 wide track. Both turned out great. Its all in where you place the gas tank. We strap the tank in and ride it to find the boats balance then mount it. If u do the typical, build your engine stand and mount the gas tank directly under the engine like eve...

Re: 351 windsor needs more ponies
If you can wait a month or so, I'm currently trying to develope a budget stroked windsor package with adaptor plate. It will be an alum headed 408ci windsor. Right now the btm end is assembled and the heads are assembled, I just have to finish bolting everything together, then its off to the dyno. T...

Re: Selecting the right camshaft for a SBC 383 stroker?
It doesnt matter what cam you run, it's not goin to run worth a sh*t with the 1.5 valve in the intake hole and the 2.02 valve in the exhaust hole

Doubt its a cam bearing or pump issue. My pick is #1 rod bearing starting to go.

Re: 96 dd 350 only getting to 2500 rpm
I would get rid of the synthetic. Have you been running that since you got the engine back? The rings wont seat/seal with synthetic. Maybe thats why your down on power. I would use the Penn grade break-in like loudmouse mentioned, then switch it to Penn 20-50. And DEFINETLY put a 7 qrt pan on it. 7 ...

Re: 351w going ballistic
What is important is, who made your adaptor plate and where the starter is located. With the Fords, this adaptor will mount your starter unlike a Chevy where its mounted to the block. Ford offers 2 diff size flywheels. With my adaptor plate, I run the 164 tooth (14.5 inches in dia) flexplate. Better...

Re: What do Predator Boats normally run for?
I like mine! However do NOT build your engine stand with the gas tank placed directly under the engine like everyone does. If you do, atleast run it before you paint/powder coat it. I had to move my tank forward. With his widetrack you might be ok, talk with him and see. Im running the 13' cutdown f...

Re: Kayaker on Lake O gets run over by airboat TWICE!!!!!
In no way, shape, or form am I taking sides with the airboater and I agree with all the above comments, but I got to say, what the hell is a kayaker doing on lake O? All that tall grass and as low as they are, they would have to have a 20' flag. Lake O can get windy and rough in a flash. What pisses...

Russian airboat
This popped into my buddies work yesterday here in Sarasota. He was told the Russians designed it to pick up astronauts when they fall into the ocean
Sounds funny to me but its still pretty neat. Others on here might know more, feel free to share.

Re: new motor tonight!!!!
Had a caddy guy in my engine shop the other day telling me the stock iron intake gave better torque than any of the alum aftermarket ones. He said he got this info from Marty at MTS. I personally dont know, I have never tested the theory on the dyno, but I would call and ask Marty before I spent the...

I took some stiff wire and bent it into some patterns. I then took this to my local muffler shop and had him copy them with just plain ol muffler tubing. The guy did it for a case of beer  Now, everyones goin to comment say "it wont work, its too thin, its goin to rust through bla bla bla" well...
