Been running air chucks for 20+ years.... Mount the chuck on the cage and epoxy the flagpole to the coupler and all good.

Re: 3A closed again
What pisses me off is we had no advanced warning of this. We just hauled out a load of siding to install on camp this coming weekend but now we got shut down on a Tuesday and have all this material sitting out there not in a position for long term storage. Tried applying for a permit to go get every...

They didn't close it because of the high water. It was closed due to the amount of deer on the 3a north/holeylands levy.

You could try using the correct filter for your motor and avoid these issues. And for the fram filter I wouldn't put one on a go cart much less an aircraft motor.

How do you figure angle valve and straight valve pistons will be the same compression if you interchange then? They have totally different combustion chambers between the two.

Re: 3 blade on a ...
I have been running a 3 blade sensenich h series on my o320 and love it. The snap may take a split second longer but i love the push it has, esp mid range cruise. I wasn't sure how how it was gonna work when I tried it but if I wasn't happy with it that prop would not be still on it.

Last year we didn't have water to run to my camp until the weekend of June 20th. We still have a few weeks for the skys to open up and get a bit of water. I have had friends go out and say the water stops at the raingauge ffrom 35 and Smoaks from 41 as of 2 weeks ago.

They do spin reverse, I usually remove the fan so its not fighting airflow and i think it looks cleaner.

From what I understand if you have mufflers after the evac fitting it cancels the negative pressure created due to backpressure of the muffler. You would have to put the tie in fitting after the muffler to have any effect.

I have seen people put teflon tape on temp sending units and end up with all kind of weird temp readings. Most use the block for ground so you can"t use any king of tape or thread sealants on them.

Re: Airboat sunk and rescue
Sat morning at 4am got a knock on the door from my brother to go rescue a friend that sunk off Holiday Park. Was out to him with 3 boats by 5am and had 7 there buy early afternoon. No helicopters or rescue personnel needed, just some friends, food and a few drinks and made an interesting day.........

Re: Lifter help
While building my brothers h2ad I bought a ford lifter and compared it to the lycoming one. I wasn't sure how the bleed down rate would be with how much smaller the relief holes in the ford lifter with the 50w av oil so we sent all of his to D&S cams along with his cam for surfacing and a regrind.

My dads gpu vacuum cap did that once in the woods, he whittled down a tree branch and hammered it in there. That stick is still in there 10 years later........

I tap the adapter to 5/8-18 and run a crush washer. They are very close to the same size but the pipe thread will split the housing easily.

Re: MA4-5 Carb 10-4404 Idle problems
I had pretty much the same issue when I built my new boat. On acceleration it would hesitate and would shut off at low throttle cruise, would have to pump the throttle to recover. Going through the carb I found the throttle shaft packing o-rings worn out and pulling a vacuum in the fuel chamber. Rep...

I stick to 0.018" on top, 0.015" on bottom plugs with mags. I have tried larger gap's but it seems to create issues at idle speeds, startup and poor low rpm running
