Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Hate to hear of this ... Ken volunteered with me on a Crab Trap near Riverview. We had a great day together. It was the first time we had met, before that it was thru SA or phone. Our Airboat collected the most traps that day. He smiled like a big kid the whole time. Sent from my SM-N910V using Sout...

Crow Call me Brother, you still got my number? Marty's fiberglass hulls are far SUPERIOR in quality of product, workmanship, and ride. I have no interest in starting "Glass Warfare" but I'm not gonna back down from speakin my mind.... Ive rode the others referenced here .... they don't compare (Fact...

Re: What propeller should I buy for a lycoming O-540
Depends on what your preference/style is really. They are all actually very similar with different pros/cons... After trying several different setups I went with a 74" four blade Excalibur in a bowtie setup, with 2.5 deg of stagger between leading and lagging blade sets. You will NOT find one that p...

Re: Boiled Peanuts .....
I like to get mine here locally when fresh dug, before they've had a chance to dry completely. Buy them right of the farm cart or already cleaned. Got spoiled when we lived up in Chipley, my neighbor would let us know when he'd be turning the first row alongside our pasture, and would let the famili...

Basically, Yes ... but its not a 1:1 correlation. But just start there, then adjust the pairs for the WOT/RPM your looking for. They like pitch !!!

Re: Excalibur Noise
Diggin' I take it your leading and trailing blades are at the same pitch setting? If so, what your probably hearing is just the trailing blade running thru the "disturbed air" of the first. Kinda sorta like cavitation or two stock cars drafting. I've toyed with several different pitch combinations o...

Re: Razor X Staggered, NGQ or Warp Drive
I have a 4 Blade Excalibur @ 74" in a Bowtie Hub. I'm extremely pleased with its performance. Thrust comes on strong at lower rpm and does not have the "warp like" sound common with similar props.

I know I dont have the exact motor your running but I have run a 2 Blade WT and a 3 Blade Narrow WT on my 520 gitsu Conv. Both where great props and each had their own strong points. Now I'm running a 74" Excalibur 4 Blade in a Bowtie. You mention you wanted push....well you REALLY need to try one o...

Re: 5 or 6?
Diggin ... I tried a bunch of different props recently and went with this 74" Excalibur... I couldn't be MORE pleased !!! It hits hard as soon as you touch the throttle; I'm talking about instant thrust!!! Nothing pushed as hard on the bottom. They ALL start at zero and all end up within about 5% of...
