Re: wrong prop

you, might try getting on facebook and then go to Red River Airboat group, or BRAB (Brazos River Air Airboats), or Southeast Airboat association. Most are members here on Southern Airboat also. The prop you have is a good match for 350 with 2/1 belt drive and should be easy to barter/trade out. I us...

It all depends on the style and size of your boat and what area you are in.

If it is Airgator there should be serial #s on the right side of the transom up high and possibly on the far right T-bar at the back I think.

Re: Help !!! Need to register boat w no title

Sounds like you need to get the person you bought the boat from to go to the TWPD with you and find out what to do. That way if it is stolen by him they can put him where he belongs or make him do all the leg work to get you a title or get your money back. I believe the new laws in Texas require a t...

Re: Can`t Run Dry .....is it a lightweight ? or a Heavyweigh

400 hp at 3 k rpm cmon be realistic theres nothing positive that can come from stumbling around in a dream world, im not being sarcastic here but you probably shouldnt make statements like that . Fact or fiction ??? --- the 455 was designed around 400-430 GM engine It was built to compete with musc...

Re: Can`t Run Dry .....is it a lightweight ? or a Heavyweigh

WOW tough crowd. Ole Panther will run dry once the bottom has been pushed back. That Buick is set with the right cam by airboat specs that peaks over 400 HP at approx. 3k. Jacks and 1/2" poly are a necessary evil when running the Brazos, lots of big rocks. We run them for a while, push the bottom ba...

Re: Cornbread and Cabbage for New Years

I must agree all greens are good, especially with pepper sauce.
Had to look up swamp cabbage on the net, and it looks great, anything you can fry/cook with onions and pork has got to be good.

Re: Cornbread and Cabbage for New Years

Same same here at the Calabria house hold, except for the pork chop, had them yesterday.
I heard a news caster on channel 5 mention collard greens instead of cabbage this morning, must be a yankee thing.
I like all greens but, it has always been cabbage for on new years for us.

Re: More Power

Not real sure on the mix and match stickers, you might try Keith Black or Rerh Morrison stickers for pure HP.
Maybe try 2 - 50 hp shot NOS stickers with precision alignment and be sure and put some extra pitch in your prop.

Re: More Power

You guys need to be real careful with how and where you place them stickers. If you add too much sticker HP to one side or the other you could get the motor out of balance , so you might be better off to just put them on the hull, but if your boat gets to where it starts pulling to the left or right...

Re: Texas Dance Hall on Saturday Night...? Help Please

There use to be quite a few Honkey Tonks around the corner from you. They made the movie pure country with George Striaght at the one on 287 just before Mansfeild I think. It is BYOB I think. The Chip IN used to be close to there also The problem is if you drink you need a designated driver, it ain'...

Re: Blue Lightening Belt Box

Sounds like a good deal. Just buy it , put poly on it and drive like you stole it for a year or two. A good 350 DD with good poly will run Brazos River just fine, and even run gravel if set up right. I ran an old 80 model 15 x7 Panther with 350 DD for 4 years on the Brazos with no poly, and when I p...

Re: Word around the campfire....

CDP, when you change over to 350 with reduction, let me or Hasbeen know if you wanna sell your 2 blade Q. I think it would work good on his 455 direct. He has an Askey Paddle prop on it now and it is heavy and I been checkin this post and the concerns about thrust bearing failure with heavy prop.
