Mike, Good stuff! Thanks for the airboat history lesson, (that's exactly what it is to me). A shame the Everglades have changed that much through the years. Ken, Just two cartridges? Good report. Please tell Mr. Marquis that I don't think he's 78 either, (he looks 68 to me). No Airboater left behind...

Everglades camps

Ford power,

You're in luck! And this is cheap too! :D

Like jpatter said above most are private. This is why the Holiday Park issue is very important! It would continue to give those of us without a camp, a place to stay down there while airboating.

D.L.P. and Paul Richey, Welcome to Southern Airboat, lots of answers here for sure. Run a "search" from the top of the page and you'll find a lot of different fixes for porpoising, (although I've been told since day one better to porpoise than plow nose down for sure). Here's one of my fav...

gru,

You can put in on the south side of the locks, (don't have to go through them that way).
Went over the bridge today at 60 and it looks like they are still holding the water back up here for us!

Hope this helps.

John C, Thanks for the pics and the info. Good "lead" on your part, keep up the good work! Sniper and Olf, same thing....funny how we take the small stuff for granted but all band together like our Southern Airboat family does in time of need. So hard to fathom that our government and/or s...

D, Nice stuff for those girls to carry with them through life. Monroe Station is a check station during hunting season. Up until recently still used to be able to store airboats and buggies there, (I think that may have changed now though). Coondog, Monument Lake does still have a campground there. ...

Hey ya'll, I'm gonna start this thread here cause the original effort for Mr. Marquis has grown to such magnitude, probably larger than any other single fund-raising effort we've all done here before! John, The entire Board of Directors and Officers of KRVSA today unanimously chose to donate 100% of the proceeds of next Saturday's poker run to Mr. Marquis. This should be a good start. If Mr. Marquis is not comfortable with a plaque I believe we could all understand. Would still be nice to get him...

PeterW, Welcome to Southern Airboat. There are a fine bunch of people here always willing to help. Eastern airlines crash

Hey ya'll, Sent DavieGSO a pm, (he's an active A.A.F. member). Maybe we can hear from them in a couple of days. If the GPS coordinates are right, the site is in WCA 3B. A lot closer to US41 than the I-75/35MM boat ramp. Gotta be somebody here on the site that can lead a group of airboaters to pay re...
