Re: prop strike

I had a aircleaner come off in 99 and it took off 1/3 of a banks maxwell prop.

twisted the engine stand beyond repair and bent the crank on my 406 and took out half the cage and rudders.
I dont run aircleaners anymore just a safety cabled flame arrestor

Re: Would like serious comment on ducted fan airboat experim

No real reason to reinvent the wheel, the newer engineered props with swept blades and winglets on a properly built boat with a tight powerplant will be supreme to ducted fan technology. I agree John, but a boat can be made ghostly quiet with a shroud of ductile aluminum around the inside of the pr...

Re: Building stephull hull questions help please

looks like no one has an answer so the thing I would do is try to find one to measure. not sure how critical but 2/3 of the way from transom should work. The object of the step is to get air under the hull to reduce drag.

I can venison. Take some prep time but you have zero freezer burn to through out at the end of the year.
you can add garlic, onions, celery, ect. I pack them in pint jars. Make's for a nice quick meal at home or in the field.

Re: Mast motorsports416 what oil

does aero shell have zinc in it? Heck if it works for 30,000.00 aircraft engines that run 75% power most of the time why not car motor boats which run a more constant temp.

Considering that the LS runs high temps what about running Aero Shell. I have always understood that aircraft oils are made specifically to take the higher heat that aircraft engines produce. just askin
