Ag Duckslayer, I have a buddy that runs a 15X7 trailboss with a 350. I can give you his email if you want, and at least you could talk about what he likes/dislikes for his application. This might help you decide what you need or want for yours. PM me for his info. I would think the TQ multiplication...

Ashley, If you are asking about the counter rotators that are belt driven, they add a little less than a hundred pounds to the top assembly that contains the upper pulley. The ratios on the props front to back are not the same--for example front prop 3.5 to 1 and rear prop 2.3 to 1 on the same unit....

I got it to fire up with the hot wired pump--but I turned it off because I was just trying to isolate the problem. I can hear one of the relay's popping when I turn the key to the "On" position--when you normally would then hear the pump running.

I am not sure if you will have enough torque to swing a 3-blade setup--you should probably call the guys @ Sens. I run a 2.3 on one of my boats(572ci) and don't have any complaints. It seems like most of the guys here have really experienced good results switching to steeper ratios. Good luck with w...

8.1 Liter Fuel Pump Wiring

Does anyone know if Diamondback runs the fuel pump wires on the 8.1L fuel injected motors through relay's? Lost power to the wires that hook up to the fuel pump and I can't figure out why--unless they are somehow connected to the relay's and one of them took a dump. Pump works when supplied with 12V...

I called the #'s in the first article before the last post and ended up talking to the Father of the young man that is missing. I found out later about the "investigation" and the Parks and Wildlife having one boat ramp closed. I would suggest calling the Equusearch # so they can utilize o...

Fanman, I have a 4-Blade Powerplus w/2.3 on my 572. I was turning 5400 max on the engine but recently added pitch to get a little better on the cruise. I am now turning about 5000 on the engine--It had a climb everything attitude before--trying to see if there is much difference in dry running now. ...

When I talked to them recently, they commented that the limiting factor was that the 2.3 lower pulley was as small as they could get for proper running of the belt. He did say that they were looking into how to obtain a higher ratio e.g.--new housings, upper pulley etc.

Basket, Did you add the counter-R to your existing set-up. How much better does it perform than before? What engine/prop combo do you have--is it a 2-1 or a 2.3-1? I am really considering putting it on my 572--It is already a beast, but you can always have more. Since I have got it on this new boat ...

Counter-Rotator-Prop Question

I just came into possession of a counter-rotator with a boat I just finished putting back together. It has a 496 8.1L engine with a 2-1 lower pulley. I am pondering about switching the counter-rotator upper assembly into my other boat that has a 572 with a 2.3-1 lower pulley. Does anybody have any s...

I have been visiting for about a year now--this site is a great resource. I thought it was about time to join the team--I plan on being a site supporter, as this is one of the best airboat relating sites on the web. :D
