Re: ww whisper tip vs. sench q

I have a 78" R series on my 13'6" Glass boat with poly that is not especially light. It has a very mild smallblock/2:1 box combo and performs pretty good,it will run the dry with three people and go dang near anywhere with two on it.

Re: chevy 250 vs 292 inline six

These folks make bada$$ stuff for I-6's. However by the time you upgrade one you could have a Small block that would make a lot more power.

Re: Guns, guitars, and other old things we love .....

Mine is a little different. It is about the only material item I even care about. My Mom bought me a nice Movado watch before she died. Everything else I own on earth can be easily replaced! Keepin it forever.

Re: asking the pro's

Is your boat direct drive or Gearbox? If gearbox what ratio and prop? And how many RPM's are you turning it on the trailer?

Re: 383 Chevy motor

Have any of y'all guys in the Cold ever wired up a power inverter to your truck so that you can use an oil pan heater while you drive to the "Lake"?

Re: gearbox help

My flex plate on my Precision box is drilled. Works fine. However I think if I was to mate one to a big HP motor I would reinforce the holes I drilled. IMO

Re: Big Jakes motor on the thrust tester!

That one sounds great! How much thrust did it make? And at what RPM's? How much at 2500 RPM's? How much HP/Torgue did that motor make on the Dyno? At what RPM's? On the prop how much pitch in Degrees was the #2 mark? How much thrust did it make? A lot! I bet! That should be a nasty combo! And at wh...

Re: Breather ?s

Yobee and others. To make it easier to fill your engine with oil,you can take a short piece of radiator hose and stick it on the breather stub. The oil will pour right in. It makes life alot easier.

Dont waste your money. I am looking at doing the same thing and have been doing some research on some car sites and everybody has had bad experiences with this chinese junk. Save up and go with something like this. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-30400001/ There is also a guy selling a couple ...

Re: 350 gear box

I also agree you would like a 2.68 better. However if you are gonna stay with 2.09 I think an 78"-80" R-Series would be the answer. I have that setup on my 13' Glass boat and it does run good. It will run a lot of dry(not all) and goes plenty fast. I also have a mild 355 SBC on my boat also.

Electric Fuel Pump Help!

What is the most reliable electric fuel pump? Need a decent pump for a 421 small block. The one I put on burnt up after about five hours. What brand and what model? Help a new airboater out! Or should I just go manual? Will they pull fuel up from the tank? Thanks guys!
