Re: Rotax hub adapter

The picture of this must no be to scale or probably is a different one. There is not enough space in the sprocket for bolts unless the holes were tapped. http://www.surpluscenter.com/Power-Transmission/Sprockets/Finished-Bore-Sprockets/60T-1-BORE-35P-SPROCKET-1-2413-60-E.axd [/quote] Stock pic/ All...

Re: Rotax hub adapter

You may be time and money ahead to just have one made. It wouldn't be hard to build one either if you have a welder and drillpress. Your just going from a 1" keyed shaft to a rotax hub? You could also get a sprocket from surpluscenter.com. Just drill your holes, weld sprocket to hub and you're in bu...

Don't rule out powder coating. To my surprise it was cheaper than I could paint.

Re: Another build thread - From the ground up.

Sorry....I'm late to the party :? I have a lot of irons in the fire. Picking up the next hull on Monday so I've been busy with all that and getting the shop ready to start over. Sweet boat! Thanks buddy. That's a sweet little rig you're working on too. I've got a Rotax setup and have a small...

Well...she's done! Here's a few final pics. TNT went real good. The only thing we have left is to add a couple small pieces of hydroturf. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160512/65b0682af4e00e704c45a6c56618bea6.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160512/846bbf86f7e4ac7c82989275564b55c9.jpg http:/...

Kinda half way read all the details but if your caps have the same ratings why not swap them out and see if the problem follows the bad suspected CAP. Just mark them before you start....speaking from experience there...LOL

Re: Uses 1qt-6 hours

Neat little ride. Looks like someone is afraid of the dark. Oil temp does seem a little high. Mine runes 180 once it FINALLY warms up. That could be a faulty gauge or a clogged oil cooler. Both easy fixes. I would say that 1 qt per 6 hours does not seem excessive. Some may disagree but that's ...

Congrats on your new-to-you boat! :thumbleft: I'm sure you will enjoy it. Welcome to the forum too! The search feature in the top right hand corner of your screen is going to be your friend. There has been a lot of VW discussion on here in the past.

Re: How big a sprayer?

I had an Aluminum spray tank from http://www.surpluscenter.com on my last barge. 15 Gal I think. Came in real handy when traveling, camping and bow fishing. I used a pump from Northern Tool. Got my spray nozzles from Amazon. Brass sprinkler heads. Here are the links to the stuff I used. Also conside...

Re: Beware of ------------------.

No matter who you are or how big or small you are or even what you are doing at, some point your going to have someone get mad and stomp their feet. There are a lot of guys on here and other sites that email me or call me for advise or to ask how something is built or whatever. I can't think of one...

Re: Beware of ------------------.

Why are you against a page of great vendors? It rewards them with more business. I understand the bashing idea is not good and may cause some type of lawsuit but a safe page of vendors that are proven possibly have to remain complaint less to stay on. Or are you simply telling me there are no resou...

Done business with the big guys and the small guys. Personally, I have had MUCH better service from the small guys. Not always but most...
