Re: Solution to Prop Noice

A few years ago there was a hovercraft in the Homosassa area that worked like that. The controls (including reverse) will certainly work, but you steer by slightly reversing thrust on the side you want to to turn to. No big I guess. The hovercraft I'm talking about was one loud mofo. Don't know how ...

Re: McCains VP pick

I had already donated a little to the McCain campaign but the speech last night just got some more of my money. Folks, I've never been stoked about any election like I am about this one. I truly believe our country is at a major cross-roads. If we give this election over to Obama and company it will...

If you go to their website they say the production version has a cage (they call it a "shroud") and they do show pics of one with a cage.

The video they have posted (bad choice) is the same one posted up top.

Re: help i need a source for beef or pork lung

Memories. 35 years or so ago when we would butcher a hog early in the morning my dad was going to have liver & lights hash for breakfast - no doubt about it. Me, I was a lightweight. I wanted the tenderloin fried up to eat with grits and then pure cane syrup & biscuit. Maybe a little melted ...

Hard to believe it can be as good as he described but if so, imagine no drilling hundreds of holes in something you want to float; and probably not a tenth of the weight.

Polyurea

Anybody know anything about it? I've done some research and polyurea refers to a whole family of products and is not just one specific mix. I've read that spray in bed-liners is one application, but then I've also found where it's used in dumptruck beds and in coal chutes. Now I know a little about ...

Re: amp gadge help??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scotty, everything you said is true in fact and detail, but in application they behave differently. For instance, put a voltmeter across a car battery and then put an ammeter across it. Big difference. And while the resistor in the volt meter is physically small, it has a very high resistance. Old (...

Re: amp gadge help??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ammeter measures current. Volt meter measures voltage. Volt meter wires positive to positive side of battery and negative to a ground. Volt meter can use small wire since no current passes through the meter. It's only measuring a difference in potential. On the other hand, to measure current, the am...

Re: amp gadge help??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing to ground!!

Splice it into the wire going from the alternator to the battery. Negative on gauge to positive on battery. Positive to alternator.

Turn the distributor back and forth with everything hooked up and see if you can get it to crank up and run.

Re: What in the world happen???

If I have a great day out on the water there's roughly a 100% chance that something is going to break next time out.

I tell people that if I put a one-hundred dollar bill in a jar every time I cranked my boat up it wouldn't pay for the repairs. I don't think it's much (if any) of an exageration.
