Re: 2011 Airboat Calendars

Good post Capt. Steve! I find it a complete insult that Faron or Stan or American Airboats couldn't find someone to attend these meetings. More importantly, I would bet the farm that niether of them have sent thier thoughts to the commissioners in the form of letters. I was in thier shop the other d...

Write Those Letters People!

Many of you have been keeping up with the drama of the TxWPP people are causing in South Texas. For those of you who have not, please get involved and at the very least, get a letter drafted and forward it to each and every Texas Parks and Wildlife commissioner in Austin. Thier names and mailing add...

Re: Looking for help

Does the hull have any keels on the bottom or is it smooth? Also, is it riveted or all welded? The boat could be a john boat conversion into an airboat. This would explain the sea nymph on the title. If the hull is completely smooth on the botton side, its probably not a sea nymph and they just used...

Re: New Boat Needs Power

fishincoop, I run 468 rat motors on both my 23ft and 18ft boats with belt reductions. While I agree and always will, there is not substitute for cubic inches, I am about to replace the BB on my 18ft for a 383. If you aren't going to run tons of dry ground, leave it light. A 383 with aluminum heads w...

Re: Coastal Bays Bend Foundation Forum Results

Oh I think its going to bite them sooner than the TPW annual meeting in August. As my last letter to the commissioners stated, Mr. Mckinney is not the man they have the faith in him being. Now I have the proof to send them in my current letter, which is a copy of his own double crossing letter to al...

Re: Coastal Bays Bend Foundation Forum Results

At this point I would suggest a request to get the names of the TPW personnel (biologists etc) who were present at the meeting. These TPW people are not going to simply just forget what took place at the meeting or even begin to lie about what they witnessed, I would then forward a letter to all the...

Re: whats up with??

I run a 23x8 and a 18x8 both with 11:1 rat motors in them. I love the smell of 104 octane in the morning! There are many days here on the coast I wish that 23ft was 33ft long. When the north wind is blowing against the tide current and I have to cross the channel to the flats with 8 people, dogs and...

Re: Wade, Paddle Pole... Meeting Jan. 7th and 8th

If there is going to be any protest or opposition, make note that the meeting is being held on the college campus of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I'm quite sure that wasn't just an opportune place to hold it, but in any event, I'm quite sure without having your name on the roster for the meeting, the s...

Re: Wade, Paddle Pole... Meeting Jan. 7th and 8th

Bonnie, Thanks for your guidance on this issue, we will all need you very much in the future as well. These "nutheads" serve thier own purpose and no other. They waste good air that the rest of the world finds to be precious to life. But I like so many others know full well they will stop at nothing...

Re: The Seat on Panel At the Coastal Issues Workshop Jan. 8t

Jason, Lets look at a quiet place where we can sit down and all chat. As I said on the beach last Sat. any time, any place is good for me, I don't care if I have to fly to Florida for an evening. Where ever that is, I hope you remeber the faces of the "nutheads" as we wouldn't want them to be in the...

Oh know, they won't do that! lol They want to screen you before you can respond to thier posts. Much like this bogus one sided meeting coming up here in Corpus Christi.

Tx Wade Paddle and Pole on Facebook

Don't know if this has been posted before, but.......here is the link to follow along with all the "nutheads" making a run on closing shallow waters. Enjoy! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=161035616975#!/group.php?gid=161035616975&v=wall Its actually funny to read the posting where someone is ...

Re: "Challenges to Sharing and Conserving Our Bays"

I find it very amusing the lenghth of profiling that the survey had in it. There are three of us locals already signed up for the meeting, for both days. However, we still have not recieved our invitations yet. Funny how that is. Its important for all who can, to write a letter addressed to each ind...

Re: ~~~5th National Conference Restore America's Estuaries~~

This is great news and could not come at a better time. Is there ANY chance of gettting Mr. Benoit to attend the next airboat "assasination attempt" by the Tx Wade Paddle and Pole people in Corpus Christi on Jan. 7th and 8th? The seminar is being held at the Harte Research Institute. The purpose of ...
