Re: cooling water safty ?

Look at Mark's Airboats http://marksairboats.com/. He puts a heavy square piece of vinyl mounted to the cage over the expansion tank. Here is a picture of the vinyl protector behind the driver seat http://www.marksairboats.com/newboat/brent3.jpg another picture http://www.marksairboats.com/features/...

Canefan, I was thinking the same thing the other day.... I wonder how she has been?
It would be nice if someone would check up on her and tell her we are all still thinking of her.

Here's a Stearns float coat I use when in deep water and weather permitting. This is the cheapest I've found, some websites sell them for up to $179. http://txfowlers.com/STEARNS_DUCKS_UNLI ... JACKET.asp

Re: New Motor

http://www.waterthunder.com/images/1x1.gif

Mastmotorsports 540hp motor at $13,999 is $4499 more than Waterthunder's 550 hp $12,900. With Water thunder's upgrades $1950 for a total of $11,450, Dave is still $2549 cheaper.

Re: O540 short jug spacer engine

Post a picture of your new Robicheaux. I believe you said it was a 14 footer. That is a great boat. If you rounded his pointed bow like others, Alumitec, Classic, Panther and others, the Robicheaux hull is about the same size as their 13 footers. In 1991 Mark had a boat at his 1st shop just like you...

Re: Question about prop for buick DD

That prop is for a 300 hp aircraft engine or a 500 Caddy. On your engine you would need a 72x36 stick. Check out the link.

Aircat and Combee boats used solid aluminum rudders for years. I still have a boat with Combee rigging and solid alum ruidders, they are 24 years old.
