They are building more and more airboat motors every day The crate motor will not have forged parts for sure, you will need new exhaust, switch it to cable throttle so a new throttle body, ...

Your hull is flat on the bottom right? Here is my old bird. Made just a little later and name changed to hurricane. Pretty sure it's the same mold. I had a BBC In it and she ran great. Had to watch the water coming over the fan tail when coming off step. It's got a ls3 now and omg she is fast. I wou...

Re: New to the AR world - question about sights

a nice way to set them up is with a low cost mount. Burris PEPR mount with a low cost 1-4 power or even a traditional 3-9 power scope. The lupold 1-4 firedots are super fun and easy to shoot with. Here is a pic of my gun with a high power scope and offset iron sights :) http://i1005.photobucket.com/...

ls3 to ch3 clearance problem

Two small problems with matching up my ch3 to my new ls3. The plate that sits over the lifter galley hangs out the back just a touch and contacts the case of the ch3. Pretty sure I can cut it back 1/8"so its flush with block. The other problem is the damn vacume port on the back of the stock ls3 int...

You should keep the folding transom inside the hull. To easy to damage it slipping sideways with it exposed out the back.

Re: New ls3 on the dyno

I had him set the rev limiter at 5500 rpm. That motor wont ever see 6k ever again.

You didn't really think I had a wood prop for it Did you?

Its spinning going to spin a 3 blade 78" falcon. So yes it could spin more prop but for now that will work.

Sad to say but I blew that motor up last duck season. It did sound good :) the new ls3 should be in the boat tomorrow. That will make it the only ls powered hurricane on earth I think.
