Re: DynaMarine

I'm new to this forum. That doesn't mean I'm new to airboats. Problem for me is there hasn't been much space in my life to indulge my love for them. In 1968 at the age of 8, I stayed in trouble at school for drawing pictures in class. I lived on the Loxahatchee refuge. Dad was with the Department o...

Re: Canning meats ....

I know some old-timers that talk about it, but I don't know anyone that does it anymore. I've been telling myself for years to get one of them to teach me how to do it. I think it would be a very good piece of info to posses.

Re: 540 vs 3 Blade Prop vs Harmonics

Like the other guys, I know of a lot of 540's running 3 blades that haven't had any problems. That is not to say that it couldn't happen from time to time, but I would think it would come from a combination of things other than just the 3 blade causing it. I run a staggered 6 blade prop on mine, and...

I wonder why no prop manufacturers say anything about this? Everyone that I am aware of makes a 3 blade specifically for 6 cylinders.

It ought to last a "lifetime". Keep us posted on the progress, and which one you prefer after you get some time on it. I'm thinking the 'ol car motor is going to collect some dust!

Yes, I have driven a couple boats now with forward gauges and really like it. I'm just trying to figure out how to do it and still have it look good. Thanks for the replies.

Yes, that's correct. Not just foot level though. I'm thinking approx knee high with switches and all being there.

Re: 556hp LSA vs. 600hp 418 Water Thunder

I am wanting to start a new build, and was wondering the pros and cons ( if any ) of each engine. The price of each are pretty much comparable. I'm going to be putting it on a 14' 8' hull. I just want to know if either engine has and advantage over the other. This will not be a race boat. Just a ba...

I have a question about Lake Jackson. Can you access it from Lake Kissimmee?
