Re: Can't even go hunting without getting screwed

That sucks. Nothing worse than a stealing poaching dirt bag. Hope the law catches them and throws the book at them.
You could always use their stands to kill your deer. Hopefully they didn't kill a bunch of your deer.

Glad you got it worked out. Plus we learned something. That would have not crossed my mind not seeing it in person.

Maybe use emery cloth to make shaft fit. As long as you don't have to take to much off.

Re: Painting my hull

Might try paint places that sand blast and paint. Contact Phil Lacy at A&R 713-919-7129. He might be able to help or send you in the right direction. I painted my hull this summer. Turned out good but the paint scratches easy. Do not use Top Secret Coatings if you decide to paint your self. Wasn't h...

New SS Cage mesh

Last year I burnt the engine up in my airgator so I got the idea to redo the boat. I got the engine rebuilt, painted the hull, put steel flex on the bottom. For the cage I hired the welder where I work to build me a stainless one. I bought the material but could not find affordable SS mesh. So I bou...

Was this on an inland lake? If so coast guard license may not be needed.

Re: cadillac 472 break in questions

was it direct drive or gear reduction? Asking because I will be bolting up my gear reduction to a rebuilt motor soon. How did you check endplay for the thrust bearing? My three blade was way smoother then any two blade I tried. I also only use the stock balancer that was on my boat when I bought it ...

Re: Rides Anytime Soon?

I'm in Dickinson. Got my airboat apart right now, painting, new cage, rebuilding engine and new bottom coat. But as soon as she is ready I would like to do a ride. Let me know when you plan on going sometime. Also, let me know if you find a good ride place around here. I usually just use the airboat...

bushings for gear box mount

Where can I buy or where should I look for bushings to mount the gear reduction unit to stand? The gear reduction is a ch2 and the boat is a 80 Airgator. Pics are of the bushing and rear mounting on the stand for the reduction unit. I bought rear mount bushings from Diamondback Airboats but they are...

I am working on my sbc 350 right now. Just dropped it off yesterday at the machine shop. I will let you know what I end up doing and how it performs once all is done. It might be a couple months though because I am redoing the entire boat. Going to repaint it, new bottom job, and new ss cage. I run ...

do not run so skinny and you won't have that problem. you are not in an airboat anymore. Stay out of mule and away form panther and you should be good.
