you can use 36 grit . Lowe's has it a while back I put a new wire brush on my bench grider so I grabbed the old one today and put that on my angle grinder and that is the way to go and then after it is all clean I will do the 24 or 36 grit to rough it up and and then clean it good with acetone and ...

If not already, lower engine until 6 or more inches of the prop are below the top of the transom. Appears in picture to be entirely above transom. Open hulls do this very commonly without petformance impacts that are noticeable. Just a thought. Good luck with it. after a lot of thought I will pass ...
