Re: Can Anybody Identify the Maker of this Airboat? Thanks!

Could Be Meeker Airboats from Oklahoma. Part of ARROWPROP propellers (I think) which is what it looks like this boat has on it. They used GEO 3cyl engines and Ford v-6. Claimed the Ford v-6 with a belt drive could turn the same prop as an 0-540 and the GEO 3cyl had good hp to weight ratio. Pretty s...

You are with the AF, so I know you have unlimited funds! :stirpot:
I would suggest a helicopter with floats. It would cross the 20 miles in a fraction of the time it would take an AB or HC.

Re: avgas substitute

You have an AIRCRAFT ENGINE why put anything other than AIRCRAFT FUEL in your engine. That's what it's meant to run so that's what I put in mine. It would be like putting plain gasoline in a 2 stroke engine. It might run for a little while but the longevity of it wil decrease Not nearly a good comp...

I am in northern Illinois, and I don't know of any drive-up self serve 100LL pumps anymore. Post 9/11 security really changed ramp access.
So what is the difference between the two, other than paying road tax?

AVGAS at Inverness

So I went to the Inverness airport to fill some cans. I have a pass to get in, and nobody was working in the FBO. The machine says that a receipt will not be available, press OK to continue. Unless I missed it, the machine never says the current cost per gallon. Next you have to set a limit, either ...

I recently picked up a couple of these on ebay for about $3 each. I haven't had the need to try them yet, but should work.

UPDATE: We are thinking that an hour for preview may not be enough time to check out what you are looking to purchase. We want everyone to have enough time to inspect the parts for sale. So what we are PLANNING on doing, (nothing is set in stone until it actually happens) is to sell the contents of ...

4000 S. Florida Ave. (US 41 South), Inverness, FL 34450. This address is listed at the bottom. Is it right? That is the address of the auction hall, however, there is so much to sell we are having the auction at the Ingle homesite. I do not have the street address, but it is in Eden Gardens subdivi...

It has come to my attention that the auction company website doesn't have an address listed for the auction site. I don't know the exact street, but it is located in a small subdivision called Eden Gardens, which is just off the north side of SR44, and about 3 miles or so west of the Withlacoochee R...

If you are thinking about an above ground tank, the auction company I work for just picked up a 500 gallon tank with a nearly new electric pump. It previously had diesel fuel, and was used until a week or two ago. It should be sold at the auction this Thursday, starting at 3pm. There is not a pictur...

So I guess you realize that Mopar is wholly owned by the Italians. Which makes them an imported automobile. I'm pretty sure you're not understanding the definition of the word "import". In this global economy if you want yo avoid foreign influence in your business, you'll be crapping in the other h...

Re: Heard A Waterthunder Rumor

I think I will hold out for a hydrogen powered motor where all you do is put water in the tank. Add some kind of pickup underneath the boat to keep the tank topped off, and you could run forever without having to stop to fill up! They have been working on the technology for years, so hopefully it is...

You will never see me run a Ecotech I have said that many times I have zero interest in a eco techs. I would rather run a 3hp horizontal shaft Brigs an Straton then a EcoTech. If you are looking for something turn key, this house about 3 doors up on the river just went for sale, also. 13 acre island, but I think it is mostly swamp. But as you can see from the price, the $80K house is really a deal. http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/60-N-Robin-Hood-Rd_Invern...

Cheap riverfront real estate in Citrus County.

The house down the road went up for sale. It is a 3/2 with 2 car garage on an acre of land with DIRECT Withlacoochee River frontage. Water on 2 sides, small wooded area on other. The drawback is that it has been sitting empty for 3 years. But it is listed at only $80K! I have never been inside, so I...

Industrial Equipment Auction Saturday 2/15

There is a BIG industrial equipment auction coming up. The person that owned all the equipment had numerous crews on the road building movie sets. Duplicates of everything. For instance, there are four trailers, two enclosed and two open, all dual axle. Probably around 100 air nailers. Tons of lumbe...
