Re: What RPM will suck a oil pan dry? Stock vs. High Volume

I think the real question should be: why are you building a new AB and only plan on using 5 hours a month?
And BTW, I hope that push mower is self propelled, cause that is a lot of daggum weight to be pushing around

Re: Lake Panasoffkee

The bridge he is referring to above is the one over the outlet canal between the lake and the river. The river is coming down, so fitting under the RT44 bridge should be no problem (on the river). The boat launch just east of the river on RT 44 has the most parking.

If you are going to ride the Withlacoochee River soon...

With 3" of rain we had a couple of days ago, and more on the way, use caution. The river level is way up, and you
may not be able to pass underneath the RT44 bridge. Plan accordingly!

Re: Dual chamber dual pump gas tank question

Sounds like a good idea. But you wouldn't have the first motor to run on dual fuel. Back in the 1930's or 40's, farm tractors ran gas and kerosene. Start them up on gas till they got warmed up, then manually switch them over to kerosene, which was cheaper. They had to switch back to gas before shutt...

According to the Honda website, the warranty length is 3 years. So you should be getting a new unit for free, or at least repaired.

Re: Av gas and $

Don't know where you bought the gas at, BUT. BUYER BEWARE! I went to the Inverness Airport today, and they are STILL at $5,90 gallon. Damn thieves.... And when you pay at the pump, it doesn't show the cost per gallon. Plus, the receipt printer hasn't worked for a long time. So unless you get a calcu...

Re: Step hull issues

Kind of reminds me of a coworker I had up in Pittsburgh. He rode a Suzuki crotch rocket to work. He lived over an hour from work, and was always running late, therefore he was always WFO. One time he told me that his front wheel started to wobble at 110mph, but at 120 it smoothed back out. My reply ...

Re: Looking for an inexpensive Grady White offshore boat?

You'll missed out. The boat was all there, motors supposedly good, just hadn't been run in a few years. Needed cleaned up from sitting under trees. Sure, it was a project, but one that mostly needed labor. Sold for under $2000. The other boat was a 19' I/O, same story. Sold for quite a bit less.

Looking for an inexpensive Grady White offshore boat?

Up for auction this Saturday in Beverly Hills, FL is a 1987 Grady White fishing boat. The website says it is 23', but it may actually be a 26' boat. Grady White made a quality boat. Also up for auction is a couple of motorhomes which would make a nice hunting camp. For pics and auction details take ...

Headers are in, motor mounts and exhaust system on the way (due here on Friday), rudder and fuel tank getting painted; all I need now is my prop. I plan to send the blades out for Duracoat. Would hate for that to be my holdup. I am no expert, but this is a new one for me. Tell me about the Duracoat...

Looking good! As you are getting close to completion, I would suggest having a class or two on operating an airboat. I would hate to see one of you sink or crash your brand new airboat. There are a few qualified instructors on this website that may be able to refer you to somebody in your area..

Re: Headed out for a rescue in 2B

I know it can be tight in the cage. But if somebody could figure out how to safely hand prop A/C motors, it would probably save many a boater. Maybe use some kind of strap or something (instead of your hand) that wouldn't get caught up in the prop when started? It doesn't take much on a motor that i...

The pontoon would be interesting but i am at work and in winter park. If you like what you see, you can call and tell them you want them to call you back when the item is up for auction. Then you can bid over the phone. MAY need a credit card to leave a deposit, IF you win. And for anybody else tha...
