Re: CCAA Spring Rodeo 04/16/16

For those traveling north from The Eagle to the Rodeo, water is still high on Inverness side of locks and some boats (Carmotor) won't fit under bridge . CCSO has been handing out tickets for road crossing , so be careful. It maybe safer to just trailer to Hernando till water falls some more.

Re: Small block carb....marine ...?.???

With the open air application of an airboat , don't really see need for marine carb. I know overflow tubes and float levels are different but I have always used automotive carbs. I had Holley 750 Ultra HP on my 383 and have a 850 Ultra HP on my 427. Never had any issues with them.

Doesn't look good unless you are a duck. 80% chance of rain till noon , then it gets serious about it and goes to 90%. FullHouse said if it rains out today they will try again tomorrow.

Re: Big Trouble Brewing?

I have always been told to go lighter with oil. Less restriction , cycles quicker to remove engine temperatures. We ran a mechanical gauge at motor along with electric in console during break in. The electric will spike faster than mechanical , but usually read the same at constant throttle. Heat gu...

Re: location of potts camping spots

Seen it several times , on eastern side of it. Several members have had camp outs there this time of year and later after the bugs are gone. Grills, fire ring , non-potable hand pump, restrooms and shelter . Not a bad place to spend the night.

Not sure of water level right now , if low it's a long hard ride to jump the dike/road between Iraqi and Hotdog
