Re: Who runs the blue and silver ECOTEC on lake George?

I set my 2013 2.0 ltg up bone stock. I even left the catalytic convertor on it in an effort to keep it bone stock, emissions legal and as quiet as possible. Shane built a direct fit gearbox for it so that I now thankfully don't have any issues because of jerry rigging a spacer plate. I now have arou...

Like I said 680hp watertunder stuck in same spot on a small light hull. Does your boat weigh in at over 3500lbs with out anyone sitting in it? Hell a DD can follow right behind me after I made the trail.   Lordy, lordy. Time to put on my high water boots cause it's gettin deep. :...

Re: Quiet

4 cylinder ecotech with the catalytic convertor and a muffler. Turn a large prop with a 2.38 gear. Probably the quietest airboat ever. I could probably make it even quieter with a 4 blade ngq.

Re: eagle water level

It is drained every year in preperation for the rainy season. Hurricane preperation I suppose. If it turns out to be a dry year the eagle as well as potts becomes 4 wheeler country.

Re: So, how many EcoTec builds are in progress right now?

No problems at all with mine. I was out running the eagle with 10 other boats through miles of sticky dry. Several of the boats spent a lot of time shaking the rake. It was some real tough going at times and even the ls boats were floored to get through. I never got stuck once. Eagle is becoming 4 w...

Huh? On the contrary, I love your motors dave. I have never said a bad word about your motors. Hell I wanted to put one on my diamondback build but they and you were having some issues at that time....remember. Hell I am watching this build closely and may want one.

Re: Another Airboat Accident on Lake Jsssup

I agree Kevin, but as long as so many inexperienced airboaters want bigger, badder, faster boats, this will keep happening with more frequency. Hope that all involved are OK.

Look close at the plastic bunk rails. 1 man can push the boat off the trailer. Oh and yes I get compliments on the trailer 2.

B and S makes a very nice no weld trailer that is as nice as you will find. I have owned 13 airboat trailers and my current trailer is heads above better than the others I have had. Order the plastic easy load runners....best thing I have ever had for easy loading and unloading...JMHO.

You would absolutely love the small trails and broken woods area of The Flying Eagle. So when you get a chance there gy...

1/2 inch poly is usually a little overkill. 3/8 is plenty thick enough. This will save you $$$ as well as weight and will still last many years under normal use.
