Re: 0540 SUPERCHARGER PROP??

Bmwilson, what's the max length prop you can clear? If you can clear a 82" I would do it... It will help with that big boat with the cruise RPM and push on the ground.

Re: 0540 SUPERCHARGER PROP??

Thanks for the feedback farmboy. Did you happen to check what rpm that 14' hamant liked to cruise on a plane at with the "R" series? how was the bottom end? Cruised at 1700-1800 @29-30mph with slick bottom. Poly would definatly change that.... The 80" staggered 9-blade Saber was one ...

Re: 0540 SUPERCHARGER PROP??

I just did some prop tests on a 14ft Hamant with gso540. Ran a 80" 3-bld WaterWalker "Falcon", 78" 3-bld Whirlwind "StumpPuller" and a 80" 3-bld Sensenich R series. The best all around prop on the boat was the R. Even on the 480's the R is hard to beat. I've never ...

Re: Bear Hull

I just posted a old picture of the style hull I'm talking about in the gallery maybe someone can put it here for me. It's a old pic and it's really hard to tell from the picture what it is but this hull is probably 7"6 wide but didn't have but 5ft of bottom at the most... I eventually bought th...

Re: Bear Hull

My friend has one with a 220 on it as was mentioned runs dry extremely well but in open water different story has a lot of torque roll even with the 220 and u sure don't stop in open water and walk around on it. All depends in what u want I would have to agree with Farmboy and not do side by side o...

Was it a round sided hull or a square sided like a Hamant? They made 2 different styles that I know of.

Re: Bear Hull

I haven't seen one of those hulls in a long time. A long time ago a good friend of mine had a 12ft round sided Bear hull with a S/V 540 and it ran dry like a mofo! It didn't run that good in deep water cause it didn't have much bottom in it and just never would get on top. If your talking about the ...

Re: 556hp LSA vs. 600hp 418 Water Thunder

I am wanting to start a new build, and was wondering the pros and cons ( if any ) of each engine. The price of each are pretty much comparable. I'm going to be putting it on a 14' 8' hull. I just want to know if either engine has and advantage over the other. This will not be a race boat. Just a ba...

Re: 556hp LSA vs. 600hp 418 Water Thunder

If it where me Id take some time and check out the Mas engines. There's a couple guys that run them over hear in my neck of the woods and they run really good and has had no issues with them. I don't think you could go wrong with them..

Re: 9 blade staggered

I ran a 80" staggered 9-blade Saber on a gso480 and I loved it! I can't say anything bad about it... It was a real good all around setup. To me at wot if felt like it pushed just as hard as the R blades.

Duraskin is the only way to go! My prop is 3 1/2 years old and still looks brand new and I ride twice a week. Get with Darren at Sensenich and see what all colors they offer. I've seen red, blue & green I don't know if theres more.
