Barhopper redid my poly in march, Whata pain. And yes sir been catching a number of 12"-22" snook. Both north and south, what's interest up north more so in the sandy creeks and down south out around the bars. Was jigging with a green lantern. A few of the kicker boat guys caught their limit in trou...

What area do you fish?I I fish the waccasassa bay area It is a little more rocky (nasty sharp rocks I get about 3 years out of my 3/8") and the water is not as clear as north and south of that area. I fish out of a small fishing club just purchased by one of the SA members dad. He has spent a good d...

Re: How much power to use superwide blades?
We sent up a buddies boat with a 81" 3 blade maximus he runs a stock carbed l33 5.3 with a 2.55 gearbox, runs fairly well. With another 100 hp it would run great. It is on a heavy 14' alumitec deckover round sided boat. On thing I will say it runs the water loaded for fishing at 3,800-4,000 and will...

If you go in from the river Iraq island there 1st spot/island you come to off the river. As you go NW or right at the island. The trail straight a head of you is where you come out when you return.
Also usually a few people out there riding.

Re: 305 dd on 12ft Apache hull
I ran a 72" 3 blade H on my 472 DD caddy. Mine ran best turning 2850. Really didn't has much push till it got to 2400. You need it to be turning 2700-2900 with an H blade. That narrow blade has narrow power band like an old 2 stoke motorcycle. if it is a stock 305 68"/70" 2 blade or 68" 3 blade maybe

Re: Building a new 500 caddy for a 14 ft Viking Need help with top end valve train
Sure enough loved my DD caddy. Got run very hard but was always reliable. Still like to hear one coming down the river, they have there own sound. And yep today I am an gearbox and LS guy. I like my 3 miles to the gallon. Don't think I would see that with a BBC or a Caddy built for a gearbox but the...

Most speed shops carry VP racing fuel. VP has several different products that will work. Including some that are unleaded for those running an oxygen sensor.
Rollins in Gainesville has VP fuel.

If I were looking for a fiberglass hull this would be my list All other them build a hull that would handle a 6.0 but each hull drives a little different in my opinion. Havik - Woods & Water - Paul Jackson 863-287-2069 Marsh Master - Jimmy White Ricochet - Lorne Hooker 863-855-0425 Marty Bray also c...

Not exactly an answer to you carb question My 2 cents would be 1st determine if it is a LQ4 or LQ9, both were in an Escalade. The LQ9 is same basic motor with flat top pistons give it more compression. If it is an lq4 I would find a sent of 706 5.3 heads that can be had cheap. The 706 heads has a sm...

For cables check out Mako Hose or Midwest Control Products. Make sure you get the same throw - 6 or 8" in steering cable.

Each blade has a sweet spot for tip speed in mph. To me that comes from matching engine rpm, gear ratio and blade length with enough pitch to be efficient.

HDsadey What did you think of the molnar quality. I have heard and read good thing but not seen one in person. Thinking about Molnar for my LS 408 stroker. No offense taken. That's what I love about airboating so many different possibilities and combinations. We always pull them down to a short bloc...

Re: any built a dd sled ....in progress of finishing my just curious if they slide right with carmotor
I got less than 8200.00 in my junkyard LS 6.0 gearbox and prop. It has over 100hrs on it and had unknown milage when I bought it. The 5.3 I ran at 1st had 113k on it plus over 600 hrs between 2 different boats. Don't get me wrong I was a tried and true DD caddy guy for over 10 years. But after messi...

I have an old 76 CSX handheld waterproof floats and can take a beating. At least 10 yrs old and falling into the bottom of the boat and water countless times. Has a small screen but is tough as nails.
