Re: SBC 350 with overheating issues

My opinion on the revving deal is the gas. When I was replacing my motor, I had the same gas sitting in the tank for only 5 months and I treated it with seafoam and stabil.... When I got new motor on it ran like crap. Long story short it was the gas. It wasn't even very flammable with a lighter When...

Re: blowing radiators

I'm no help but I've known of another case where a boat did this. The guy would put a new radiator, first or 2nd time out the radiator would blow. Idk how he ever straightened it out but he went thru a bunch of em, even installed a pressure gauge on the cooling system an it was fine but it would sti...

Any bolt is gonna break before it bends much. But all thread can be bent in half. It'll fix his troubles more than likely

Re: Altenator bracket bolt

It works. If it don't I'll be surprised. The all thread can bend/wobble an unnoticeable bit, where grade 8 can't which can break them. Theharder the metal the easier it breaks when bent

Re: Altenator bracket bolt

It doesn't need a super hard bolt like grade 8, some thing do some things don't . It needs something that will give and not break. Use a piece of threaded rod instead of the bolt and u should be good to go U can have 2 motors that R pretty much the same and 1 break accessory bolts and the other not....

Re: Im embarrassed to admit it

What u have there crow is a totally backwards setup with different parts right? The hoses being swapped isn't what that article discusses, or am I missing something?? If the hoses are just swapped at the radiator the flow is the same as normal except it's just flowing backwards thru the radiator it'...

Re: mini build help/advice

14-15ft is not what most call a mini. And a rotax on a 15ft boat would probably go 6mph. Just being honest.
Where are u located? I bet there's prolly some great boats in the classifieds that would do what u want and then some

Re: Charter lakes

Thing is travelers would let u get any amount of coverage u wanted. Markel was double priced for me and they said your boat is worth this much and this is all u get, and each year the coverage is less an less because the boat loses value. I just said I'd do without

I get that kind from from louisianna for the boats I've built. 38$ a stick and u weld it on
It's not gonna be very expensive no matter where u get it I wouldn't think
