good and bad news, fellas

Well, Rob and I did a good bit of work to the 220gpu today and it runs a lot better and quieter. The bad news is when we changed the oil there was so much bearing shavings in the oil pan and filter it looked like we were panning for gold. It also needs a top-end job. The cylendars are pitted and 1 h...

Re: A screamer

It IS a sweet running little boat. And I'm sure if Rob ever sticks it, the lightness of it will make it easy to push out by hand...unlike my monstrosity. lol For me, though, that boat is impractical. I cant put mine in the water without at least 4 people in it. Big cooler, Nets during netting season...

Trip up the river yesterday

Just wanted to say to those involved in the trip up the river yesterday that I had a great time. I so look forward to doing it again. Also, I haven't met such good people in quite awhile. I am honored to be able to consider you all friends. I'd love to get together in the future and do it again. Jus...

Re: Airboating Do & Don'ts..a handbook

I have launched my boat so many times, if one of my sons or guests is not there, I run the rope over the tailgate of my truck, and tap the brake and pop out and grab the line before it snakes out...but not recommended for most. LOL. Maddog Not really "do and dont" material. Just had to put in my 2 ...

Re: Airboating Do & Don'ts..a handbook

I will second not unhooking your boat before your at the water.I bet Carpshooter from Ohio will agree. This was him trying to launch at the Bud ride.Dropped the boat at the top of the ramp. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2383/2151685845_5e13d3a719.jpg This should be put in the common sense s...

Re: Slick bottom

Spent a lot of time reading through all the slick bottom web-sites. It is only about $40 more for the wetlander primer and topcoat as opposed to any other. I'm gonna go ahead and order it. For hmgm, they have a place to specify what color you want, so I'm sure, white being the base color for all oth...

Re: What to do with "blow-by"

yeah, it was originally routed with pvc the same way and run out the back to water level. I closed it off on advise from an auto mechanic and that was a mistake. I temp fixed it back and ran it around the side of the cage, but it got messy quick. About to get exhaust taken care of and rerout the hose
