Re: Flashlight

Streamlight rechargeable Stinger. I have had mine 6 years. Same batteries (they give you 2). I take it everywhere I go. It has also doubled as a spotlight to get me out of the marsh and down the Intracoastal.

Re: Mama Freedom (hawk) follows me to work

I operate tour boats for Sawgrass Park that is 7 miles from camp. :toothy7: I have often seen a Red Shoulder hawk on the spoil bank at the park and wondered if it was one of my birds. Not any doubt now. I went to the deck this afternoon with some visitors and saw what looked like...

Re: Panther Problems

I have a panther that frequently visits my back yard. Wouldn't be a huge deal except that it seems to be stalkin my kids playset and the house. I've tried spreading various things around my acreage at the suggestion of the feed store in town, including dried and shredded datil peppers. Nothing work...

Re: What's better, 50# lighter or 40hp more?

You figure a dollar more per gallon. I payed 4.35 per gallon for 100ll. That would be about 20 bucks more every time I bought fuel. A lot of C/M's have 40 or more gallon tanks. That's not really a selling point in my eyes. Convenience of buying A/V gas and Oil would be at the top of concerns. My cu...

Re: What's better, 50# lighter or 40hp more?

Don't forget to figure in Av gas vs. pump gas w/ Av being almost twice as expensive. W/ 10:1 it will run great, but you will HAVE to run the good stuff. I personally am a A/C guy. My dad runs a A/V 540 w/ low compression pistons and has never ran Av gas and has been running the same engine for 20+ y...

Re: Geuss I'm just hard headed

Lookin around as always and run across a good deal on a low hour GSO 480 and had to have it. Guess I'm goin from gas drinkin to gas guzzling. Oh well oughta be fun when it's al...

That's crazy. The State should host weekly tournaments in different areas w/ large prize money to help control them. That would be the cheapest way to control them. They will end up pouring millions into it otherwise.

thanks twister, if it isn't like i want it i will give you a call. what do you think about a manual fuel pump? this is my first 6 cyl lycoming. You can use the electric as a primer pump and shut it off once the engine is running. Then if the manual goes bad you can always have the electric as a bac...

Very impressive! Floats like a cork too. Is that on the west side of 512? Yes. We were running east marsh and decided to jump the road and sit on the dike at Garcia's and finish off the sunset fer the day with some coldies. Yes Bruce, my uncle ran that boat with that 160 on it. He bought it off a g...

Mike Fiore is the one who died. He was the owner and founder of Outerlimits Powerboats. He was a great guy, A gentleman and always took time to converse about the sport. He made all his competitors really step up their game the last 15 years. Their boats have a fit and finish unlike any others. Unfo...

The 14' hull is definitely the majority of the problem. That is way to big.
