I am happy to see I'm not the only one that this makes crazy. I have seen them on almost every Florida tributary I have ventured including the ocean.

Terry (PTR) I am getting ready to set up a similar type boat w/the same engine and had the same question. After everyone raving about the NGQ's I was curious as well. You feel the NGH pushes and cruises better or has more snap/speed? Thx!

That seems pretty darn good. In my experience a lot of the fuel sonsumption comes down to the load on the engine. Either a heavy set up or a heavy foot!

+ Cheap panchos, ear plugs, flashlight, lighter, extra set of drain plugs, extra bulb for the headlight, pocket knife, jump box and cables. You mean you don't carry spare cylinders & pistons with you? I thought all GSO guys had to do that???? Lmao! That's right Kevin and a extra can of AV gas :...

60 C.I., a super charger, Possibly a gearbox depending on the model, 40-95H.P. and about 6GPH of AVgas!

Swamp I would not buy another engine w/o seeing and hearing it run and get hot, oil pressure and compression test. Even then I am still always wary.

I'd go w/ a Hammant. Light rigging, 11'6 Ultra light w/ standard sides and polymer.

Re: does anyone know this story.. 2insane airboat sunk

I heard A rivet backed out and he sank it at the boat ramp pulling in to load up. I don't see how that could happen. Even if a rivit did come loose and pop out, that would just be a little pee hole, and if loading up, there would be lots of time to load before a significant amount of water got in. ...

Re: USAA Membership Drive Poker Run

Not being rude, but just wanted to point out that you may want to make the location a lil bit larger on the flyer and explain where it is. Maybe give a general area or map to where it is going to be held. I am interested but have no clue where that is and I thought I knew most of the tributaries in ...

That is incredibly disturbing. They are outright using their platform to slander airboats. This is very biased and should definitely be brought to the attention of the right people. Thankfully this is the last year of the FCAT. People like that me sick with their agendas.

If you go test drive the GSO480 boat you will be addicted once you hear the supercharger spool up a few times, lol. Farmboy and I can tell you- it's addictive. If it runs right it will definitely take 4 people where ever you wanna go.

Re: ANOTHER 220 GPU question

Avgas is $5.99 a gallon here. No doubt it will rUn best on avgas, but GPU's were designed to run on MOGAS. Therefore, 93 is plenty of octane. The lead additive is definitely a good idea as Hogdogs mentioned though because it provides lubrication as MOgas had lead in it as well.
