Re: Brazing Aluminum

There's a way to gas weld aluminum with aluminum rods and using hydrogen as a fuel.not sure of the mechanics, saw it once at an airshow.you do need a pair of rose colored goggles though

Re: boat tuning/handling

When you adjust engine angle there's a happy place between on its nose and hopping.just because it hops doesn't mean its breaking free.where does the spray leave the side of your boat? Farthest back without hopping is best.have someone ride in front of you and see if its "rolling" the wate...

Re: boat tuning/handling

Have you tried adjusting the engine angle? Sounds like its on its nose.that will make it jump up quickly and steer funny."loose" is good, but most fiberglass boats aren't very loose.

There's definitely nothing like one of those smoking oil belching monsters.the prop is definitely the difference.my big combee had a tank 220 and turned a 74x64 wood paddle.

Re: lesson on 4 cyl aircraft or gpu's

a pe-90 (large 4 cyl. gpu.)is 150 hp.wood prop sensenich recomends is 66x34.i ran one for 8 years, didn't burn oil till i let it get full of water and pit the cylinders.now i have one with 520 cyls.,and it turns a 68' 5 blade 8 degrees 3000.and burns no oil.if you want to know about a pe-60 (90hp),go...

Re: SUSPEND THE PURCHASE FROM THESE LOCATIONS.

New gun ban laws are the easy way out.put the blame on guns.mental health and responsibility are the real issues here.these tragedys have to stop for sure.the problem with banning "certain types" of guns is it still infringes on the 2nd amendment.its the right to bear arms.not the right to...

Consider your hull.is your bottom true? That can make all the difference.hp is only part of speed

Re: Hull question

I apologize for giving incorrect Intel.i thought wardaddy built with 6061.another option is to buy a used aluminum hull and rehab it.they're rebuildable to an extent.and its actually economical compared to buying new.but if you look at any used boats, take someone who's knowledgeable about riveted hu...

Re: Hull question

Actually wardaddy seems like a pretty reasonable bargain.its definitely cheaper than a Benny,or a don Davis.it's comparable to a scorpion.you might be thinking in comparison to fiberglass hulls.and aluminum hulls are not all equals.wardaddy, scorpion and several others are softer metal boats.they're ...

Call Jc Stanley and ask him about 0-470 conversion parts.Itll be cheaper than what was quoted .and theres a hp increase and you get away from obsolete gpu parts and into cheaper aircraft stuff.

The $and grief you're gonna go thru to try to make that motorcycle engine work you could put into an 084 and be up and running much better.just an opinion.haven't ever seen any of those bike motor set ups turn out to be practical.
