Not sure which boat you're talking about, the DB or the Don Davis. I still have the DB and plan to keep it. Got to have something to haul camp supplies with. Sold the Don Davis beginning of last year.

Re: 351w tuning

Just a thought but perhaps at 3,000 RPM, there's not enough vacuum to open the secondaries. Perhaps a 2-barrel might be the way to go?

Coming Soon To A Swamp Near You

I've been tinkering around with a project for the last couple years. Most of the time was coming up with a theme for the paint and the wife won that conversation. Not that I mind, particularly for the way the boat is turning out. The theme is Game of Thrones, Swamp Edition. I found a local who...

Re: Looking For Everglades Camp Membership

The best value out there is the Broward County Airboat and Halftrack Club. They own the Boars Nest camp in Area 2A. You can have full access to the camp by paying your annual dues (which last time I checked was somewhere around $50.00). The caveat is that you must participate in club events, particu...

Re: LOW TORQUE LS Engine Build

No they don't, that only occurs when you plot Torque in Ft-lbf against Hp on the same scale. Plot them on different scales or try metric units and you can make them cross where ever you want. 5252 is meaningless. Oh but they do, and of course on the same scale. Ft lbs vs hp on the x vs RPM on the y...

Re: The Game Changer

Does anybody know the specs on the cam? :stirpot: :stirpot: I think everybody knows the answer to that. So why do you think it was a radical cam? What RPM did it idle at? Very lopey idle is the only indication. I have no idea what the specs are. Did not pay much attention to the idle speed but I di...

No sir just a regular Performer. Idle-5500 power range. Not sure it would act right after being on a Ford motor! Lol

Looks like a great place to ride. How far up the river are you allowed to ride?

He has a machined bracket that fits behind the flywheel that I believe has a thrust bearing and acts as a motormount as well.

It may not be my place to talk about this boat as it is not mine but I did get to take it for a ride yesterday and OMG. I've never seen a boat with a more appropriate name. This boat truly is a game changer. It's an 11 foot Benny Webb with a direct drive Waterthunder LS3. The owner of the boat said ...

Arbuckle Creek

After watching Pipedog's video and looking at Google Earth, I'm wondering if you can run all the way from Lake Istokpoga to Lake Arbuckle on the creek. Has anybody done it before? Perhaps camp along the creek overnight? Looks like it would be a great time. Talking to Pipedog, his group turned around...

While I certainly wouldn't discount the knowledge of most people on this site, you will never find more knowledge than the folks at Sensenich and Whirlwind. They've seen every combination imaginable and are an enormous free resource. Since you already have one, I would start with Darren at Sensenich.
