Re: Redfish on the Fly

No way. Thats a lie. I just read all the testimony that was given at the TPW hearing last year, if you are on a flat with an airboat all the fish have long since run to deeper water and thats what causes the waves in the deeper water, they are down their with their fins covering their hearing line, ...

TPW Meeting August 24, 2011

Heads up here, I sent out a group email earlier and will follow up with more data as I get it. But basically folks need to know ahead of time.... this is the annual public comments meeting for the year for TPW. This is how Wade Paddle and Pole started their little issue last year. I'll provide more ...

Re: TPWD Launches Mandatory Boater Education

Doesn't do any good to exempt any class of boat from registration or education, but we still have a few hoops to jump through to get the education to the point it needs to be.

Re: unfriendly fishing guide & kayakers on brazos

Funny what they can seem ok to do to you, but what if you pulled up in an airboat(really any boat...) and did the same.. Recently at a lake in our Johnboat, we had a bass boater floor his boat as he evidently knew where we were headed more or less. Tried to cut us off when we were almost at the rock...

Electric Fan Dangers

Just wanted to warn your Texas airboat guys that an electric fan can hurt you if you are not careful! The following picture is what the radiator looked like after my electric fan had it's way with it. When we are bowfishing we are idling the majority of the time and the fan was helping move air thro...

And you probably hit the nail on the head, but when it comes to thinning the herd, thats the goal, brainwash the next generations into the fact that .gov runs it all and it all comes from them and anyone anti is BAD... One tiny step at a time with this invasion, and those are the hardest invasions t...

Re: A Noteworthy "Oration"

Now, if we only had a majority to live by these "truths". Thats where we've failed... We've let little things go... and now they are big things. I hope enough get this, and get on the bandwagon, lets change things at the ballot box and if we can't there, then, IMHO, its our duty to give th...

Wow, good info. Hope to go to superwides in the next year or two.... will keep in mind about radiator, blade location etc.... and if have to go electric, will keep in mind spacers. Much appreciated... Might want to "double" post this to the airboat tech section in general too if you haven'...

And thats why there is TAA folks. To try to prevent these things. We need your membership, we need your help, we need you as folks to volunteer for cleanups, to go to outdoor shows, to give kids rides, to help plant grass. Jump on the bandwagon, dont' be scared.... there are a few folks working over...

Good luck. Last reports I heard from Rockport down to baffin are limits of trout are pretty easy right now. A few reds and a flounder or two tossed in for good measure.

Amen to that brother!

And we are thankful we had troops(normal citizens) decide to say enough is enough and give us 4 July!

And lets not forget the troops here and deceased, that have given much, some all, so that we can continue to celebrat 4 July!

So you untie before pissing the fish off..... tie to the front of the boat... amazing how far and how fast a 50 ish pound fi...

Good job!!! I can see you are patient.... 6 hours and 5 fish... I can last about an hour, if they aren't biting good. In 1-2 hours at the lake here, we are used to nailing 30 plus cats. The other weekend it was really slow... we had about 7 fish in an hour and called it quits. No sense in burning ti...

Summer on the coast. Sleep in a nice AC dark room. Up at 4 or so and put on SPF long pants and shirt, and cap with neck flaps. Step outside of hotel room or RV, glasses fog instantly. Get sticky feeling. Before ever getting bait or boat launched half sweated through.... Nope.. not really my style. I...
