Re: Are Y'all Hearin' That...
I've been tied up in fire schools, fire/EMS calls and EMS classes for the last 3-4 months or so. So no life. Sounds like others doing the same too RE no life. Glad to see some folks are gettin out and enjoying it as they can though. I haven't had the boat out since duck season. Still about 12 dozen ...

Re: Colorado in Bastrop
Ramp in town, be aware it drops off suddenly when putting in, stay as close to the north edge of it as you can is best, we tried to repair it once already and put a lot of concrete in and its way better than it was... I bowfish when I have time. Rather that should say I drive and let the nephews and...

Soap Box Bitchin.... littering...
I can't stand litter. I pick it up every time we go hunting or fishing. Just can't imagine how folks just feel like its their rights.... Doesn't help we own FM frontage that I mow all the time, some 2000 or so feet, and yesterday I spent about an hour on foot and 2 trash bags full of trash. What do ...

dang shame nothing is less than 2 hours plus from me.
But I did send in my comments via email.
This hopefully will pass. Its been a long time in coming and there really are no negatives to it at all.

Dang, what all did I miss? Last I thought you had a 19x8 airranger? I bet smaller is a bit more fun on those tight river areas though! I"m the other way, wish i had one bigger than 16 for more folks and gear.

Don't forget this folks!!! Apathy nets us less useage. Even if you only ride, you'll eventually not be able to ride if we don't stand up for ALL uses of airboats!

Bob Job well done!!! Thats pertinent info and should be presented to TPW. Were I in your area I'd fill all that info out in a heartbeat. Have you gotten it out to all the members that would run the area mentioned? I"d be willing to bulk email it to our TAA list if you like. Shoot me an email if...

Re: Wants to go AirBoating in Alaska..!! :-)
Yeah you can learn to come back.... its tough though. Went first time in 86. Then our honeymoon in 95. Took till 03 to get back to hunt, and since then there hasn't been much more than a year go by without us going. Rough to come home, but look forward to retiring there at least 9 mos out of the yea...

Re: FRUSTRATED with other boaters!!!
I fail to see how registration will change their attitudes at all. I'm all for regsitration though, should have been done a long time ago for use on public water. As far as giving rides and such, I think that you can convert kicker boat owners to realize you are fine, but the kayakers, I fail to see...

Re: Rudder doesn't want to turn much to right under hard pow
Seems like 78 inch prop.. I"m guessing 12 inches from rudders.
Can and will check of rudders are in line with each other or not.
Which way to bend tabs and how much makes a difference?

Re: FRUSTRATED with other boaters!!!
Kayakers, and I don't want to paint with a broad brush, but a lot of them are the ones that want it all to themselves. Its unfortunate and ain't gonna happen if I can prevent it. Its public water and for us all to enjoy. I didn't get the #1 sign this weekend, but I did get hands on the hip stare onc...

Re: Rudder doesn't want to turn much to right under hard pow
Just pulled and replaced bushings, lubed it all up a bit, and checked the cable last spring and its been on the water maybe 5-6 times since, thats why I'm really wondering whats going on.... Was thinking more it might be something with the trailing edge of the boat needing to be bent some or the tri...

We should have data on the TPW website from our TAA testimony at the last public comments meeting... In there I tried to add up our manhours and dollar values of TAA volunteer stuff to the public... You might look there for data to back you up!! I'm still talking with Candy at TCEQ to see if we can ...

Rudder doesn't want to turn much to right under hard power?
Boat doesn't want to steer to the right with heavy load and under power??? My rudder stick moves freely from side to side with the motor not running, and will move pretty easy with a bit of throttle, say 2500 to 3000 rpms or so, just on plane and cruising, but I"ve noticed with a full load of f...
