Re: lycoming 200 wide deck

The first airboat that we built, we purchased a gauge box with gauges from classic airboats and it worked out great. The next three boats that we built we made our own.

Re: ECOTEC 2.0 LTG SWAP

You won't even notice the pedal on the left, we did that on our high school builds so that if you got stuck you could get out and run the foot pedal and rudder stick at the same time.

We have used hydro-turf and had good luck with it, easy to work with. We haven't used sea deck so I can't really help you there.

Re: Side by Side seat stand plan

Sorry I should’ve given more info on our next boat. The next boat will be a 13’ x 7’- 9” Ecotec build. With a Ecotec 2.0 LTG turbo, anyway that is our plan.

Side by Side seat stand plan

Does anyone have a good plan for a side by side seat stand. We have never built one before and we are just not sure about widths of the foot platform and seat plate forms (center console). Any help would be great.
thanks Chuck

Re: High school airboat build III

Sniper It is a 2.5, 165 HP fuel injected subaru. The engine was set-up with two cooling radiators and a swirl pot right out of an airplane. With the prop pushing air in the other direction they would not cool the engine down where we wanted the temperature to be. We tried cooling fans and it was bet...

Re: High school airboat build III

We picked up some nice rudders from Jake Tupper at Gale Marine in Galesville, WI and then managed to get them painted along with our fuel cell. The last thing we got done before the summer break was a floor board got put in. IMG_0826.JPG IMG_0825.JPG IMG_0948.JPG Almost forgot the trail got finished...

Re: High school airboat build III

Sorry for the delay. In the spring of last year we got finished late and could not get the cage and engine stand in right away to be powder coated. EK Machine in Fall River wisconsin has helped us out the last couple of builds and did not let us down this time, they just had to wait till they had so...
