Re: High School Airboat Build II

My students started the foot and seat part of the stand today. Only had to re-bend one piece today ( good teaching opportunity) so it was a good day. Glad you like it DUFF0113, I will tell them. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/CWAIS/AIRBOAT%20BUILD%202/IMG_0586_zpst5myxqsy.jpg http://i91.phot...

Engine stand is just about done we had to add an extra support running from the front bottom to the back upper support frame. Hopefully that isn't to weird there was just to much movement. We should be starting the seat frame tomorrow if we have school ( a lot of ICE). http://i91.photobucket.com/alb...

The edges along the front bottom of the boat got welded up and the sides got bolted into place. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/...

Re: High School Airboat Build II

Today went well, we got the T Bars all welded up with three new welders. We braced up the the front bottom as you can see in the pictures, maybe standing on a couple of T Bars to get them flat. I know some of them look up off the bottom but they are all down tight. The one picture you can see how I ...

High School Airboat Build II

Here we go again, High School Airboat Build II has begun. One big difference this time is we will be building our hull right at school. This boat will be a little lighter than the last one (1/8” all the way around). I found an EA81 Stratus engine with redrive and prop this past summer. I talked with...

I am trying to get another airboat project together. I have found a stratus ea-81 (100 hp). My internet went out yesterday so I'm trying to do this on my phone. Planeguy
You could also check Albanycountyfastners.com they were the cheapest we could find when we put polly on. They have a lot of 10%-15% discounts if you sign up your e-mail at their sight then they are e-mailed to you as they have them.
Good luck

Re: 0 360 Lycoming

Don't forget to check the foot pedal, throttle, throttle cable and spring. If there not working your not pumping any gas up through the carb. to start.
Just a thought, I've seen it happen.
