Re: Lucas Oil Stabilazer

I ran a late model wide gear Rotator and utilized RedLine HD Shockproof (red) gear oil with which I blended in about 20% Lucas Oil Stabilizer and an ounce of CompCam #159.

My drive was fairly quiet and at snug as new after about 200 hours bolted to a 542 inch Cadillac. I regret selling it !

Re: 6.0l LS2 rebuild looking for more power

The amount of dollars that you would spend to try to accomplish a sizable gain at the prop in a naturally aspirated application is a costly project. Even with far larger displacement platforms such as the BBC or Cadillac to see a sizable gain in pitch or a few hundred rpm at the output shaft of the ...

Re: Alachua county Airboat ordinance

It is very common for a judge to listen to both parties arguments and then spend time doing research prior to making a ruling.

I would expect you get news in a few weeks as this case has statewide significance.

Have you got a weight on it yet?

Looks like a real nice platform

Totally different subject: Had a Palmetto State Armory AK-V (pistol) out at the range. What a sweet little carbine that legally is a pistol that is a wanna be SBR. Uses Scorpion mags.

Re: Does the dark side really have cookies????

A new drive is $3700 so that leaves you $4,000

I would be looking in the budget LS direction. Low mile 5.3 take out will probably be the easiest to find. OneEyeGator has posted some info in builds he has done. Quite a few other guys as well as numerous Technical articles.

Re: Going back to water walker. Falcons

I have heard the JW and JX require pitch to perform at their best. Try pitching them harder if your engine has the power to spin them. Give up 200-300 hundred rpm in testing to see if you gain push if you have to. I would give Darrin at Sensenich a call on Monday and discuss it with him. When we tes...

Re: who's running Marty Brey hulls

Back in January I was over to visit Mr Bray and the standard hull was selling for $225 a linear foot and the new wide hull was priced at $250 for a gel coat single color. To add side rod boxes was an additional $700 and on average a upgrade custom metal flake finish would add $300 or so to the end c...

Re: Edelbrock E-Street cylinder heads

I checked with Mr. Branch for you and he said that if you have 100% ruled out coil bind or the springs being to heavy that most likely the stud was over or under treated in the hardening process. That said, he commented if you replace it and suffer another valve train failure such as a push rod or c...

Re: GUN RACKS

Hammant has a metal frame that works in concert with the Kolpin case. I have seen Tony480 endorse it and it gives you the option to have an open poly scabbard or put the top on and waterproof it.

One of many options

Re: Seat setup

If your going to ride alone often then the front seat steer puts weight forward to make for a better balance point.

As you decide your choice if your going to ride kids and drunks then I STRONGLY suggest a triple seat or double with a low jump set forward with rear steer so you can watch your guests.

Re: Edelbrock E-Street cylinder heads

That cam you had ground I remember you could not go roller and went with a Mechanical Flat Tappet so what is the lift on that? If the stud was not defective and a geometry issue or other dynamic caused it and then you reinforce the prior weak link (ARP) your moving the fail point. Next would be a pu...

I think it's a unusual occurrence as Edelbrock does their own castings and has a really good reputation. I know a few guys running the RPM series heads and only good things to say. Re: who's running Marty Brey hulls

I run a Bray hull and the boat turns well. We have had it tuned to run on rails and then re-tuned it to be more free where it has a little slide. Mine is the original not the new 8ft wide boat. Marty Bray has the Swamphunter45 seal of approval for building a quality hull and being an honest vendor!
