Re: 427 SBC

Let us know what the suggestion is from Sensenich. I almost think that they may point you to the JX with a 427 on 2.38.

My buddy is building a LS turbo and they put him into a 4 blade JX for it's ability to offer a better ride quality and hold the power up top.

We use shielded cables.

The marine industry typically goes with Teleflex.

West Marine or Amazon are easy places to check price and size options online.

Lean will pop.

If it is taking the fuel you found the fix.

Run it and see how she acts. Take a look at your plugs after a few hours.

Re: backfire through carb

AS PER JOHN FENNER his recipe for a 350 DD Vortec To be honest, a 390 Holley 4V will perform much more efficient than the 500 2V, yes it will need the secondary metering plate kit, a set of 68 jets in the primary and around 70/72 In the secondary metering, more money but in the long run it will pay ...

Re: backfire through carb

If you spend time around a race track mechanics do it to aid start up. There is a risk which is why we only use a very small amount.

Be mindful of safety

Re: backfire through carb

Keep in mind your spinning a big prop that has a lot of resistance. Then dropping your vacuum down to near nothing. Our way to test this accelerator pump / lean condition is to get a small squirt bottle. Put a little fuel say 1/2 ounce in it and when you rapidly open the butterfly's give it a little...

So what is your opinion of the new JX blades?

Did you find them to have a good mid-range push ?

I have run both the "S" and "JX" and love them both for my application.

Going from that WARP to the new JX is like putting that boat into 4Wheel drive.

Re: Side by Side seat stand plan

If your plans will include a larger hull boat with seating for passengers I would highly suggest you go to a rear steer. Being able to supervise your guests is necessary. Seeing a problem unfold in front of you is much easier to avert that the explosion behind you. After the headphone incident we we...

I liken Poly to soft body armor in that it prevents an initial penetration and then spreads the force over a wider surface area than just the initial contact point.

Real good to hear, it takes time but being dedicated and steady at it makes the project move along! Inspect all your welds don't rush that part and use a primer to protect them from rust.

Looking good

Sounds like everything is as expected. The wear on the Steel Flex seems extreme but you do burn the hill up. Glad to hear all is well with her.
