Re: Slide/parking space for airboat?

Driving up on dry land and is the cheapest an simplest way......... I mean it is a airboat which means water is optional not like some bass boat. You could build a wood ramp on each side of your dock platform an drive up one side and back down the other , but it will cost you allot more then just dr...

Re: pe 90???? what prop to run

Welcome aboard rebuilt stock or 470, 520 conversion motor? ( kinda makes difference with such wide range of Hp in pe-90's) assuming rebuild stock to worn 470 angle valve conversion , look around for a used 68-70" three blade H or a 70" two or three blade cypress Those warps will kill your ears . woo...

Re: Question About Length

you add 2" to diameter for each hub size. (70-72-74 on Q or signature series) I believe the 68" is a cut down size, I believe did some H's and maybe cuts in the short cut down size or maybe done later in blades life. I think 70" is normally the shorts want to say the blades measure something like 35...

Re: Continental PE90 dual ignition

another option would be to just upgrade cylinders to 0-470 or 0-520 angle valves cylinders. Would be a nice increase in power while you are making the changes mite as well upgrade. Far as carb you can use blockoff plates then custom oil sump and mount a spider underneath where it belongs . There are...

Re: Does NGR prop like pitch or RPM?

I have less than 20 hours on my prop, but to me it seems it should put out more thrust for a 3 blade prop. I have it pitched at the 3 mark and I'm getting 35 mph at 3600 rpms. I run mostly deep water. I wonder if I should put a little more pitch into it or to look at going from a 2.7 to a 2.38 gear...

Re: Which big block - 454 or 496?

Especially when you have stuff like 22'' wheels, Lock up converter, over drive,,,, some drive trains are just a power sponge. I heard this and in my opinion its the best explanation of chassis vs engine dyno. A chassis dyno is like weighing your self on a scale fully dressed and a engine dyno is we...

Re: Which big block - 454 or 496?

Years ago we thought of doing AC motors but the heat they put of will require about twice the venting/exhaust fans of a car motor. Also I personally don't believe many people will want to dyno their AC motors. Let me know how that goes for you we choose not to do it. Were doing some mods to ours. I...

Give the choice, I'd personally want the original replacement , however the slant 6 is easy to find and works or just run a elec pump if you dare

Those thin coolers (about 1" I think) the others are telling you to buy "new" will work ok, lots of people use them and they only run 10-15 degrees hotter when your pushing the boat hard

Re: 220 HP Continental GPU stand and rigging help

Where I can buy those dampeners? I can't remember for sure now but think the rubber damper pictured where stock body to frame mounts on a older c3 corvette. I think Hammat or Aircraft Spruce probably sell some to or you can make some out of 3/4" to 1" rubber material . I've made many they don't loo...

Re: Rebuild, replace, or convert a 220???

Only reason I'd go through the bottom end is piece of mind and knowing I have a fresh engine and that's if I dump the money into a conversion or spending the money to get chrome cylinders. A 0540 would be nice but I don't see myself having the money for that anytime soon Don't forget if you decide ...
