Re: Never heard of this.

With your 175hp engine are you in a boat that you can get thrown into the front of the boat, or behind a steering wheel?

The boat should've never stop that fast anyways unless the engine was locked down which is a bad idea

Re: Are AGM batteries suitable for airboats? If so, which o

I buy dozens of batteries each year for work - I invest in optima batteries. One is in my boat. Red yellow or blue can't go wrong with any of them

Re: Monroe Station burned down !

One way to stop it. Good trail cams and a 16 foot extension ladder. People don't look up, I've used it repeatedly and it works every time. Once you ID boat then do what you gotta do. Then and only then will it stop Perfect. :thumbleft: Two cellular cams looking at each other is the best way because...

Re: Monroe Station burned down !

That's what I thought about all the camp fires. Funds running low? Gov camp site? Liability issues.... What to do. Burn em down and don't rebuild... Easy inexpensive solution for them. Just didn't make sense this is happening across Florida within weeks of one another. Kinda makes you wonder.... Sen...

I don't like the hard had lights I had some. Gave them away. Now I have just the head straps that's open with the light it's a lot lighter and it doesn't want to fall off when you bend over like the hard hat. JMO whatever works for you.... Re: Lenco trim tab fix

I have stainless bolts in both and I didn't know when it was stuck all the way down although I knew something was going on. Drive dry, over dikes, across parking lots etc and took it out another day before I had a chance to fix it I assumed it would need to be replaced. That thing is damn near bullet...

Re: Lenco trim tab fix

Oh yeah, I didn't realize these work with ball and screw and not hydraulic until I looked at their website. I always figured they were all hydraulic since all the ones I ever had on boats were. Fyi

Lenco trim tab fix

Trim tab stopped working. Took the top off looked inside and wire had come off. Plugged it back in all is good. I got lucky. If you have one that stops working check that out. Image

Re: Indian and Banana River fish kill ....

People screw everything up. The water, the land; the air.... We are a parasite living of the environment it's only going to get worse. I saw a big pile of trash someone dumped out of their boat last week and you just think to yourself.... Losers... People suck - we are surrounded by folks who could ...

Re: Spark plug prices

That's pretty funny cause last year I kept having fouling problems with NGK AB-6 so I switched to champion D16 and they have been in there a year without any problems....

Re: How about these plugs?

I liked the way you kept a visual picture of your plugs when you changed them. I did the same today.... Plugs, oil etc..... Does anyone's trained eye see anything that jumps out other than after a year it was time to change the plugs? It's 1-3 and 4-6 http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160319/1eabec0...

Spark plug prices

Such a huge difference I wanted to share maybe you save a few bucks....

Needed 12 champion D16 plugs, most only carry 6 or 8 in stock so I went to orielly first it's the closest. $12.94 for 6. Then I went to advance right down the road. $20.39

Wow

Re: Gyroscopic load change while doing 360's

I like to know how everything works so I was thinking about this. I wondered if the pitch changed on rotors with forward speed. After a moment I figured it has to because hovering required pitch tone the same but going forward fast required pitch to change not only port to starboard but also a great...

Wayne, I hadn't even considered the problem with the oil pickup. That's a big one too. 8) Guts, rotary wing flight is almost a 'black science' .... the damn things probably shouldn't be able to fly at all, but somehow they manage to! There is a whole 'nother discussion on advancing and retrea...

Re: Gyroscopic load change while doing 360's

I would imagine the forces at play are wholly dependent upon rpm of the blades, the length of them and the rate of degree change. For instance, if you a turn at x deg per second heading a larger prop will be affected more than a smaller one given the same rpms. The people drive like I do it may be i...

Re: Orlando Bow Fishing and Gator hunting Guide Service

The fresher a fish is the last taste they have. So I don't mind them not being strong tasting at all I make them taste the way I want which is good. The quality of the water they come out of is directly related to the quality of the fish. Crap water will yield a crappy fish. Sent from my iPhone usin...
